Just out of pure laziness to be honest that mines is still up. Just keep pushing it back. Anyone else's still up?

Traditionally it should have been down yesterday. It starts to look odd to me once the Christmas and New Year period is over.
no law against leaving it up though.

PleaseCleanTheWholeToilet · 06/01/2023 22:55

ODFOx · 06/01/2023 22:58

Meant to do ours tonight and forgot. Tomorrow morning !

mackthepony · 06/01/2023 23:00

Ours is down Sunday

Bah

Tothemoonandbackx · 06/01/2023 23:00

Yoohoo, over here!!!! EVERYTHING is still up!!!! Not that I'm lazy.....(😏😏😏) but I've got a week off next week, so I'm leaving it till then 😂😂

FaintlyMacabre · 06/01/2023 23:00

Ours is staying up until the local hospice run their collection on the weekend of 14/15th. Everything else is staying until Candlemas. January is gloomy enough without taking down a source of light and cheer!

MuggleMe · 06/01/2023 23:01

It's naked but won't go in the loft til tomorrow.

weewestie · 06/01/2023 23:02

Mine is baked, but still up. Just waiting on delivery of a storage bag for it and then it will get put away.

weewestie · 06/01/2023 23:03

**naked, not baked!

LuckyLuckyWoman · 06/01/2023 23:03

Nothing on mine but it is still up in the corner. First time it's ever stayed up after the 6th at the latest. Illness is forcing it to stay put. Hopefully tomorrow will be the day

Want2beme · 06/01/2023 23:08

Took mine down on Tuesday. I do think it's a nice idea to keep it up until February though, to have more light during the dark evenings. I've left the wreath on the front door, but will take it down on Sunday.

sborber · 06/01/2023 23:08

This week's been a write off for me so it's coming down Sunday!

FaintlyMacabre · 06/01/2023 23:09

Also, we were away for most of the Christmas holiday so didn’t get a chance to appreciate it before!

KimberleyClark · 06/01/2023 23:09

The tree’s still on the living room but without decorations. Will put it in the garage tomorrow morning.

CrapBucket · 06/01/2023 23:10

My tree is down, I put the Christmas lights away. Then replaced them with some new lights that turned out to be slightly pastel shades so now we have Spring Lights up.

missnevermind · 06/01/2023 23:11

We have started stripping ours and have taken lights and wall decorations down.
It will be packed and back in its cupboard over the weekend.

lollipoprainbow · 06/01/2023 23:12

Yup taking it down at weekend !!

Ooh I thought baked was going to be some special epiphany thing.

paintitallover · 06/01/2023 23:15

Epiphany is today, 6th not 5th. That's the day you're traditionally supposed to remove Christmas decorations.

That sounds lovely

My Tree is down but I have kept the white bulbed lights out as I have put them along my windowledge and Units under my TV. I don't have any lamps so it looks pretty and is light enough for Me.

Mines up. Look up Candlemas. Not sure we will be that late but now happy to carry on!

superking · 06/01/2023 23:31

I've taken everything else down and I do usually take my tree down before 12th night but I've kept mine up for now - it's a real tree and still smells and looks amazing with no needle drop so I just thought it would be a shame to get rid! Will probably take it down on Sunday.

No, it's today, surely?

Trumpton · 06/01/2023 23:59

Ours went out today ready to collected by Hospice on Sunday morning from 7am!
They collect every year for a suggested donation of £15.
It’s still a lovely tree and I am sad to see it go. Xmas Sad

Exactly the same here!
