Lying in bed mumsnetting and casually helping myself to chocolate seashells and I've just stuck my hand in to get another one and realised I've eaten the lot. I don't even feel that sick- I'm such a greedy cow.
I really tried hard before Christmas to lose weight after dc3 and I've just put it back on in the last week. Please make me feel better by telling me I'm not the only one as greedy as this

I just ate a pizza and followed it up with some cheese oatcakes. About to start on the chocolate sea shells Grin
Almost no one sticks to their health regime on New Year’s Eve. Tomorrow is another day!

ouch321 · 31/12/2022 23:08

Choc seashells are lovely.

When I was 8 months pregnant I went to an all you can eat Thai restaurant with my friend who also has an ahem healthy appetite.

Our husbands left after about two hours. They may have been slightly appalled. We stayed.

The next day the restaurant had a sign up saying there would now be a time limit.

I felt like Homer Simpson that time he sued the all you can eat seafood place

@catgirl1976 ha that's brilliant, have to get your moneys worth at those places.
@BuffyTheCat you're right, tomorrow is another day, but I've got a roast beef dinner followed by raspberry roulade planned😁
@ouch321 I wish they weren't so lovely!

I had pork belly and scallops, followed by sticky toffee pudding for lunch (restaurant). At 7 pm I had a load of mini sausage rolls, cashew nuts, pickled onions and a wedge of Christmas pudding with brandy butter and cream. I'm now in bed with a cup of tea and a slab of Christmas cake.

I don't know how I'm going to cope next week. I could live for months on my Christmas fat reserves.

DuncanBiscuits · 31/12/2022 23:12

I ate an entire box of mint Matchmakers in ten minutes yesterday afternoon, while watching Strike.

It’s high on my list of Best Afternoons Ever.

Todaynotalways · 31/12/2022 23:15

Half my life ago (early 20's) my best friend turned up at my house with a carrot cake. I had already bought a carrot cake to share with her.

So, I've the course of the afternoon she and I ate a carrot cake eat, washed down with a pot of tea each, every so often taking a break to have a small nap on the sofa.

Best day. No regrets.

BuffyTheCat · 31/12/2022 23:15

Minniem2020 good point. I’ll be cooking the same.
Ok, the day after tomorrow is another day Grin

chipsandpeas · 31/12/2022 23:15

pfft thats easy done

Todaynotalways · 31/12/2022 23:15

*over the course of the afternoon, she and I ate a carrot cake each...

Typos.

Winniethepig · 31/12/2022 23:16

Just ate an enitre box of after eights 🤤

hiddeneverythin · 31/12/2022 23:17

I needed to see this. I've just been berating myself about feeling disgusting coming to bed. Glad I'm not alone!

hiddeneverythin · 31/12/2022 23:17

PS I don't need dessert with double cream - just the cream is fine

Minniem2020 · 31/12/2022 23:17

@DuncanBiscuits 10 minutes is impressive, mine was at least 20😁

Minniem2020 · 31/12/2022 23:20

You are all making me feel so much better ( and also a little bit hungry for the different foods). @hiddeneverythin glad to have helped, come join us greedy ones😁

How is a thread full of people giggling at their binge eating going to help you exactly?

Honestly, Mumsnet is so fucked up when it comes to both overeaters and undereaters.

Simpkiin · 31/12/2022 23:26

@catgirl1976
😂 thank you for cheering me up

Minniem2020 · 31/12/2022 23:26

@MaryHoldTheCandleSteadyWhileIShaveTheChickensLeg I don't feel quite so disgusted with myself if I know I'm not the only one that eats so much. Sorry if I offended you, you didn't have to read the thread, or comment. Happy new year when it comes.

Presumably to remind themselves that it's absolutely normal to pig-out at new year.

limitededitionbarbie · 31/12/2022 23:37

There is a thread on here called fuck I'm I high or something similar and the poster in question had ate all kinds.

I felt her. I am the same after a brownie. Cannot stop. Literally just want pure crunchy food. Crisp. Biscuits. Gallons of tea.

Georgeskitchen · 31/12/2022 23:44

I remember a few years ago I read about a group of students being banned from Pizza hut for completely emptying the salad bar 😁😁
