I don’t have any real issue with them, nor love for them.

But I’m sick to death of every bloody newswebsite being full of articles about them. It’s just really boring!!

Me too, I just want them to go away.

Moltenpink · 15/12/2022 12:30

It’s just like one big advert for Netflix at the moment

KangarooKenny · 15/12/2022 12:32

I agree. Wish the papers/news would stop giving them attention.

AllThingsServeTheBeam · 15/12/2022 12:34

I honestly don't know why people give a fuck. Like who honestly gives a fuck?!

onefedupmum · 15/12/2022 12:36

YANBU.

They sued her dad for putting things in the media and then go do the same thing...?

Both are a pair of attention seeking muppets. The sooner the press forgets about them the better.

3peassuit · 15/12/2022 12:40

There’s too much happening in the UK and the rest of the world to take H and M seriously. They are mildly diverting at most.

MrsWhites · 15/12/2022 12:41

I can’t be doing with the hypocrisy of saying you want a private life but want to keep the titles, we want privacy for our children but sell their souls to Netflix for £80m, the royal family are mean to us but then make lots of barbed comments about ‘them’ and ‘my brother screamed at me’, suggesting the queen would be annoyed that Meghan made the front page instead of her, it’s all a bit ridiculous! Take your massive Netflix payout and go and enjoy the life with your children that you claim to want so much.

It just comes across as having their cake and eating it!

It may do. I have no opinion on them.

but I’m fed up to the back teeth of seeing them in news websites all the time. The whole thing with them is not important and has no relevance to most peoples lives: except just a wee bit of gossip.

Hang on in there, his book is out in January and I’m hopeful that by February they have nothing new left to reveal, and that’ll be the last we hear of it all.

londonrach · 15/12/2022 12:49

Yanbu. They boring. Too much going on UK. Wish papers would stop reporting anything they say. Saying that I've messaged on here so adding to it..

So you started YET ANOTHER thread about them on here?

AutumnCrow · 15/12/2022 12:53

I think the psychology of their relationship is fascinating but in quite a worrying way.

But they're not going to hasten the dawn of a Republic with this self-aggrandizing stuff. As pp say, people have got other things to worry about right now.

Oysterbabe · 15/12/2022 12:54

Yanbu. Some news sites have about 20 separate stories about them. I really don't care.

bellabasset · 15/12/2022 12:55

They took a gamble informing the world they were stepping back before discussing it with the Head of the Firm. They want a quiet life so get a 4 bed house, cycles and jobs with charities. It's all a bit overdone. We've had migrants dying crossing the Channel, 4 boys dying in cold water, families unable to afford the costs of living, no care for the elderly.

bluefrog11 · 15/12/2022 12:59

Me too. I can’t stand either of them. I’ve worked in social care and social housing and let me tell you, 100% of my clients would kill to nave their “problems”. They need to grow up and fuck off.

ilovesooty · 15/12/2022 13:00

I don't know which news sites you use but I'm finding them easy enough to ignore.

JaneJeffer · 15/12/2022 13:44

Amen. I'm not even in the U.K. and still getting bombarded with them.

purpledalmation · 15/12/2022 13:49

It will all die down in a week. The first 3 episodes had all died down and wasn't in the news, the same will happen with these episodes. We just have to suffer the 'spare' book, and hopefully they will shut up and move on.

purpledalmation · 15/12/2022 13:50

They are one hit wonders, and that hit is royal family bashing.

Get on with your charity work Harry and Meghan. Please.

AllTogetherAllAlone · 15/12/2022 14:17

The coverage has been full on. They’ve got all the publicity they wanted. What I can’t get over is them selling their children like that. The kids didn’t have a choice.

caringcarer · 15/12/2022 14:24

I'm hoping that after Harry's book it will die down because they can't have anything else to say after the book surely.

pinneddownbytabbies · 15/12/2022 14:28

Ironic really, the whole thing. You'd think that after how the press treated his mother, and the ultimate tragedy of her death, that he would do everything in his power to avoid the media and keep press attention away from himself, his wife and kids, and the wider Royal family.

But no. Makes you wonder what his agenda is, doesn't it?

RoseAndGeranium · 15/12/2022 14:29

When will it stop? I have zero interest but I keep getting news notifications from The Times about this stupid Netflix show of theirs. I thought it was nice when they married — whirlwind romance for Harry and hopefully some happiness after what must have been a very difficult childhood and young adulthood. But now I just want to stop hearing about them both. Why can’t they just keep chickens and raise kids and leave the rest of us in peace?

MyTurkey · 15/12/2022 14:32

Once the book is published and ALL H&M's royal dirty laundry has been aired in public, that will be the end of that income stream. No one in the royal family will have anything further more to do with them for fear of further revelations from them and they will have nothing to sell in the future.

Reminds me of the Christmas when my older sister got horribly drunk, accused us and our parents of all of all sorts of wrongs from when we were little children, got us all right riled and then stormed off home with BIL meekly following behind. By News Year day we had all made amends and back into the fold she came. But we are a family of no consequence and the most interesting revelation was that we found out it was her who threw our favourite Barbies in the pond in 1985 😂No going back for H&M I'm afraid....

Mooda · 15/12/2022 14:37

I'm not interested in the Royal Family generally but I work in comms and am finding it interesting to hear Harry & Meghan's account first hand rather than through the prism and agenda of whatever media outlet is reporting on them.

The juxtaposition of how similar stories about Kate and Meghan were reported very differently, the subtle way language is used to infer racial difference - I find it all fascinating as a study in media manipulation.

They can be quite irritating Harry and Meghan but ultimately I think they did the right thing in attempting to tell their story their way. I'd rather hear it directly from them than from 'a source close to the royal family' or 'a royal insider' or any other anonymous coward.
