to ask you to help me find this teddy please?

My DD5 has had this bear from birth and it’s always stuck to her like glue, but we lost it and I’ve no idea where it’s from :( We had it as a gift when she was born but unfortunately the lovely lady who gave it to us has since passed away so I can’t ask where she bought it.

I know it’s just a toy but my girl is heartbroken. It’s a long shot I know but if anyone has seen one like this before I’d be really grateful for any info! Thanks in advance for any help x

It’s similar but not quite the same, our one was kind of floppy and that looks firmer. Thank you for trying though! X

I know you said you don't know where you lost the bear, but given you have photos of it, have you tried emailing the photos to customer services or lost property of the places you have been?

I once tracked down a hearing aid doing that.

I didn’t have any luck trying the image search either, lots of similar teddies but nothing so close that she would thinks it’s the same one :(

Ive tried the customer services/shops etc that I could think of but we’re not even sure when she lost it. It always turned up after a day or so when we misplaced it before, just not this time sadly.

Ah haha! Im so sorry for dragging you into this 🤣 Its proving to be fairly fruitless, I’ve done several image searches on different search engines and spent far too long scrolling through the results to no avail! She was given him in 2017 so I’m going to try including that this time, it’s so frustrating having zero information whatsoever to go on!

Did the lady who gave it use online shopping do you know? If not, could you see what shops are nearby to where she might buy toys from and see if that narrows the search down? For example, my mother in law lives in a small town and I know she'd likely only be able to get a teddy from about 2 places nearby as she doesn't do online shopping

A dog we were looking after once chewed and destroyed my daughter’s favourite toy and I was lucky enough to find a very similar one on eBay. I wonder if you can do some searches on there?

@JillFromHolt I have no idea tbh, she was a customer of my husbands, he had loads of lovely gifts from customers when we had her, but it’s been five years and she’s passed on unfortunately :(

@theshadeofgreen It is a velvety bear yes and it’s a fluffy filling but kind of floppy at the same time. Right before he got lost I was thinking to unpick his stitches and re stuff him a bit because he’d got so ‘thin’ and was starting to feel a bit fragile lol. So bloody daft 🤣

It does look like our build bear. You out your own stuffing in them so can make them soft or firm.
