to ask you to help me find this teddy please?

My DD5 has had this bear from birth and it’s always stuck to her like glue, but we lost it and I’ve no idea where it’s from :( We had it as a gift when she was born but unfortunately the lovely lady who gave it to us has since passed away so I can’t ask where she bought it.

I know it’s just a toy but my girl is heartbroken. It’s a long shot I know but if anyone has seen one like this before I’d be really grateful for any info! Thanks in advance for any help x

Does he have a bow tie OP? In that first photo it looks like he might.

could you try Facebook Mum groups local to the area you were in when you lost it? A few in my town have found missing teddies that way.

The eyes and nose shape are similar to this Morrisons bear so it might have been made by them.

I hope you find your DD's bear.. I'd have it plastered all over facebook etc, especially in your local area.. people are usually very kind. :-)

This one looks pretty similar but no loop on the top of his head.

Do you have a rough idea of where you lost it? Say in a certain town for example? Get on the facebook pages and make a wanted poster to put in the shops you visited
It may trigger someone's memory.
I lost a beloved doll when i was little but thankfully we knew it was in a tesco. The manager drove the 50 minutes after his shift to drop it iff as he knew what it would mean.

Could you maybe say Father Chriatmas has takrn it to give it a makeover nd do the build a bear with an outfit?

We found a replacement for my dd's teddy on ebay. Hers was from M&S so you'd think another one would be easy to find but it wasn't. The book Tatty Ratty about a lost toy rabbit also helped dd manage without him for a bit.

We have this monkey with a hanging loop on his head we got it from an arcade grabber machine and it has a tag with a website, stuffing also a little on the thin side, I've looked on the website Oaksleisure.co.uk and there is no bears like yours, but there's also no monkeys either so maybe old stock? Worth giving them a message if you think it could be from the same place

Also I'd be more than happy to send this monkey to you, I know it's not quite the same, maybe a distant relative if your DDS Bear! My Ds doesn't really bother with it 🙂

Oh wow! That’s def very very similar, the body is pretty much identical, the legs etc and the same colour … I’ll give them a message on the off chance thank you! ☺️

@LaLaLadyCakes it also has a little brown ribbon bow around his neck similar to your picture! I really hope you can get a replacement! Keep us posted!

Thank you for your help and your very kind offer to post the monkey to my little one! I have emailed the company, it’s a long shot but it can’t hurt :) We’ve been reading the Christmas Pig the last few days so if all else fails I’ll get her a DP of her own and hope it fills the void!

I got a response from Oakes leisure and it looks like that is where it’s from @BlessMeDarkFather ! Unfortunately they don’t have any anymore :(

There is a similar one from oaks measure on eBay but it’s got yellow on it.

I would put a saved search on eBay with it set to alert you for “oaks leisure monkey” in case one turns up on there EBay

On vinted if you put in oakes leisure Teddy bear some come up - there is one that is similar but only you will know the colour you need.

If not do a general search on there for Teddy bears

Try posting on local fb page for your town. We got a lost toy back this way.
