I sold a dress on Vinted a few weeks ago and my buyer received a bundle of baby clothes with her name and address on it and with mine listed as the sender. I've never seen these baby clothes in my life and meanwhile the dress is missing - I can only assume someone who ordered somethingelse has received it! Vinted has done nothing to resolve the issue and keeps saying there "investigating." Meanwhile my buyer and I are in limbo with her wanting her dress and me wanting my £20.
I then stumbled across a couple of Facebook groups with thousands of members who have had this happen to them. It seems Inpost has got all the labels mixed up! When you use inpost you package up the item and scan a QR code when you drop it off at the locker. Inpost is then supposed to print out and attach the label themselves.
Vinted has encouraged its users to use the Inpost shipping option. And now they are just trying to ignore the problem and hope it goes away. Inpost has been completely useless also.
So AIBU to a) warn people not to use Inpost b) ask if this has happened to you also and c) hope the media will pick this up? Because to my mind it's quite scandalous - it isn't an isolated problem at all but seems to be affecting thousands of people!
