I’m sure many people have heard of this story already but for those who haven’t, a man has been charged with the murder of a woman (Fatoumatta) and her two daughters (Fatimah & Naeemah). Those poor kids were only aged 1 & 3. I really don’t know what sort of world we’re living in. Here’s a link for anyone who wants to read the story,

Heartbreaking. Beautiful lady and lovely, smiley children. They didn’t deserve that.

this is why we must not discuss current cases.

Oh I wept when I read this news, apparently a 31yr old neighbour has been arrested and is on remand.. what a terrible event, that beautiful family.

How so?

Sprouttreesareamazing · 25/11/2022 19:21

All beautiful girls. I hope he isn't protected in jail.

WGACA · 25/11/2022 19:21

This happened near me. So sad and shocking.

bellabasset · 25/11/2022 19:22

It's a horrendous thing to do setting fire to a home in the early hours of the morning where there are young children. So sorry for her dh and their wider family. I don't think it's ever something you come to terms with. A neighbour set fire to his house adjoining ours and murder was involved. Even 25 years later it haunts me

Letsrunabath · 25/11/2022 19:23

Very sad

Does that apply to the guardian link above too?

I’ve posted this to say RIP to Fatoumatta and her beautiful children. I have posted the story for those who haven’t already heard what happened to them (if any.)

Prejudicial or not - three people, two of which were kids, have lost their lives

How awful is that! Leaving the country only to be told your family has died/been killed. I can’t even begin to imagine what he’s going through, how heartbreaking. Sorry to hear about your experience too, that sounds so scary

No its not. Op has stated the facts, they have been killed and a man has been charged.

Heartbreaking. I have thought about her and her children a lot these last couple of days. God bless them.

XanaduKira · 25/11/2022 20:09

It's truly awful. RIP to that beautiful family. God only knows how her husband is coping.

Emmelina · 25/11/2022 20:10

Such a beautiful young woman and children, hope the man gets the key thrown away.

Her poor poor husband, his whole world gone.

Notanotherone6 · 25/11/2022 20:14

Absolutely sickening. My thoughts go out to her poor husband and their family.

PurpleButterflyWings · 25/11/2022 20:17

Very sad. Such a pretty lady, and such gorgeous children. R.I.P. Sad

Nobody is saying anything that hasn't been reported in the media

BirmaBrite · 25/11/2022 20:38

How is mentioning the facts of the case ( a Mother and her two children died in a house fire, the Police believe it was reasonable to suspect it was arson and have charged a man ) about something that has been on all the major news channels and in all the newspapers, prejudicial ?

Abhannmor · 25/11/2022 20:41

RIP to these beautiful souls. What a dreadful crime.

clairelip · 25/11/2022 20:46

A terrible thing for the family to have to cope with, her poor husband. I hope that fatoumatta wasn't aware of the death of her beautiful children and that they were killed by smoke rather than the flames. Rip to three beautiful souls

RhondaD · 25/11/2022 20:50

I have a feeling there will have been some sort of previous contact between them. Perhaps complaints were made about him leading up to the incident.

ReedRite · 25/11/2022 20:55

It’s sickening and heartbreaking. Just awful. Those poor children and their mum. And the poor dad having to live without them, knowing how they died. Sad

VioletTopaz · 25/11/2022 20:56

This is so unspeakably awful. I can’t believe things like this happen.
RIP Fatoumatta Hydara, Fatimah and Naeemah. 💐💐💐
