Has anyone else seen this? It's on the main page of their website and is wildly inappropriate.

A little girl as in 5-7 (shit with ages) is on a bed holding a Teddy bear dressed in bondage and fetish gear.

She also doesn't look particularly happy.

I don't understand how a whole team of people presumably thought this was ok! Its gross.

Hi all,
We have taken the policy decision to remove unaltered images of these adverts. Do feel free to repost as long as the children's faces are blurred beyond recognition.

upfucked · 20/11/2022 11:49

She looks younger than 5. Very baby faced. Highly inappropriate.

CuntAmongstThePigeons · 20/11/2022 11:53

Yes, sorry I'm useless at judging age. It's horrible isn't it?

TinFoilHatty · 20/11/2022 11:54

That is a very uncomfortable image.

Thedogscollar · 20/11/2022 12:09

Bloody typical of Balenciaga. They shock to get attention for there overpriced rubbish.
It's like a social experiment on how ridiculous there products are but yet people buy the rubbish.
This though is disgusting and verging on depraved. What possessed the parents of this child to think this is any sort of normal I cannot fathom.

Chubarubrub · 20/11/2022 12:19

I agree it’s horrid but judging by what I see shared on Twitter with children watching drag queens sings explicit songs and twerk with their junk bulging out, there seems to be a direction (?) towards the normalisation of sexualising children in society in general. Especially with some wanting to call paedos ‘minor attracted people’ 🤮😣 Its sick and sinister and I feel like I’m seeing it more.

Totally agree, massive push towards normalising MAP amongst many other very disturbing things at the moment.

Theredjellybean · 21/11/2022 08:04

That teddy doesn't look to thrilled either...

MistyGreenAndBlue · 21/11/2022 08:06

That's not bondage gear
Teddy is a punk. But I can see why people might think so.

Still a stupid ad.

And tbf. All this is true.

Lockheart · 21/11/2022 08:44

It's a punk teddy. Not a bondage teddy.

RambamThankyouMam · 21/11/2022 08:45

Yet more paedo promotion in plain sight. Where is this heading?

jays · 21/11/2022 09:10

Lockheart · 21/11/2022 08:44

It's a punk teddy. Not a bondage teddy.

In the ad campaign there is documentation of a court case sticking out from under a bag. Ashcroft V Free Speech co…. The case was about virtual child pornography. It’s on the Balenciaga website.

MrsMontyD · 21/11/2022 09:19

It looks punk to me, but a lot of the symbolism is the same chains, locks, spiked chokers etc. so either way it's not appropriate.

Newusernameaug · 21/11/2022 09:22

Also don’t the black eyes represent that if a child has been raped they can get black eyes?
it’s sick and disgusted, all this is happening on plain sight before our eyes being pushed forward by those in power

maslinpan · 21/11/2022 09:23

Jordan - one of the original punks - bought her deliberately shocking clothes and accessories from sex shops.

I see they've deleted the images and apologised.
I got this ad for build a bear the other day which I thought was a bit odd, isn't it for kids?!

Does anyone remember the Benetton adverts in the 80's (?) that used images designed to shock?

Warning - some may find these offensive/upsetting.

BedTaker · 24/11/2022 07:18

Punk my arse.

Both teddies are in bondage gear.

These are children being forced to take part in sexual images to which they can't consent. That's child abuse.

chickidychick · 24/11/2022 07:24

Why are you reposting these sick photos!

Whatsleftnow · 24/11/2022 07:25

They show you who they are.

TrashyPanda · 24/11/2022 07:26

That is beyond disgusting

custardbear · 24/11/2022 07:31

That's just disgusting ... delete and apologise 🤯🤬 they should have had the gumption to realise it's inappropriate!
