To think I should be able to track a parcel without finding chickens on beaches

Royal Mail now seem to have a fiendishly hard security thing. I just tried to track a parcel and there's one of those security picture things, except it's harder than anyone I've ever seen. I've been clicking on chickens in trees, chickens on beaches, strawberry cakes, rough seas. Have done about 20 of the fecking things and still can't get past it 🤣🤣
If you click the help thing it just lets you give feedback that it was too hard but then takes you back to reattempt it 😬
It's clearly new as tried to track the same parcel yesterday and it was all perfectly fine and normal .
So god knows where the parcel is as I clearly will never be able to find out now !

A chicken on a tree?! Who on earth thought that up?

SisterGeorgeMichael · 19/11/2022 09:06

Yes, I has smiling cats and lions with their eyes closed.

I still like it better than the traffic lights ones though.

BrilliantGreenFlamingo · 19/11/2022 09:07

Isn’t the answer the middle one and the top middle one?

Mamette · 19/11/2022 09:08

Christ. I can’t even do the bicycle one.

PuttingDownRoots · 19/11/2022 09:08

I'm sorry for your plight but chickens on trees has made me very giggly!

Hens do roost in trees!

honeyytoast · 19/11/2022 09:10

Loool what?? I thought those ones where you have to select the squares containing one image broken up and it’s very ambiguous if a millimetre of traffic light will count were bad enough.
Christ

See I thought the bottom right as well, could be where I was going wrong, will have another go 🤣

There's a dragonfly one that's really hard too. It's to take your mind off them being so slow with your parcel

Tomorrowisalatterday · 19/11/2022 09:11

I had the same thing yesterday - gave up and emailed the retailer instead!

I was a bit WTF, I have a PhD but can't do this **er

What about bottom right? Or is he just near a tree?

Top right too

I read something the other day about how they only ask you to do these if the algorithm looks at your browsing history and thinks you might be a robot. I always get asked to do them! Must be a robot.

Emmelina · 19/11/2022 09:13

It’s actually broken right now, and nothing to do with your ability to identify chickens, bicycles and cakes (thankfully!). It was down entirely for about a week and hasn’t worked since coming back a few days ago. The app works if that helps!

FinanceLPlates · 19/11/2022 09:13

Wait for their Christmas special when they make you look for a partridge in a pear tree…

GrannyAchingsShepherdsHut · 19/11/2022 09:13

Ah, shit. Sorry, didn't read the bit about a tree.

Suzi888 · 19/11/2022 09:17

🤣 Looks easy enough, although bottom right looks like the chicken is on the floor near to a branch. Not really thought of chickens being in trees, probably because they’re in barns getting ready to be eaten.

SantaCarlaCalifornia · 19/11/2022 09:17

I had that the other day, chickens on beaches.
I apparently wasn't getting it right so have no idea where my parcel is right now.

zen1 · 19/11/2022 09:18

I find having to differentiate between a boat, a bus and a train challenging enough!

DuckWithOneWing · 19/11/2022 09:18

I had to find strawberry cupcakes. It was so hard! How do I know if a normal looking cupcake is strawberry without tasting it?! Does a big cake with a strawberry on count? How about a cupcake in a pink case? What is a strawberry cupcake?

Whoopsies · 19/11/2022 09:19

That thread title made me laugh out loud because I had the exact same thing yesterday and was like "wtaf" is going on in this world?!?! 😂

LiamNeesonIsADerryGirl · 19/11/2022 09:20

Thanks for the laugh this morning OP, I hope your parcel turns up!

They obviously think I'm not as I have never had to do this Thank goodness. So now I've said this
Murphys law will now come into operation. Oh well

CheeseIsMyPatronus · 19/11/2022 09:23

Identifying chickens on their holidays is a brilliant one - much my fun than effing traffic lights

Mamette · 19/11/2022 09:27

I think the top right one recently broke up with her boyfriend. She’ll be ok, she just needs some time to think things through
