To think I should be able to track a parcel without finding chickens on beaches

Royal Mail now seem to have a fiendishly hard security thing. I just tried to track a parcel and there's one of those security picture things, except it's harder than anyone I've ever seen. I've been clicking on chickens in trees, chickens on beaches, strawberry cakes, rough seas. Have done about 20 of the fecking things and still can't get past it 🤣🤣
If you click the help thing it just lets you give feedback that it was too hard but then takes you back to reattempt it 😬
It's clearly new as tried to track the same parcel yesterday and it was all perfectly fine and normal .
So god knows where the parcel is as I clearly will never be able to find out now !

For some reason I really struggle with these things I just can’t do them and I have no idea why

AndEverWhoKnew · 19/11/2022 10:39

I'm sorry you can't find your parcel but this thread has made me laugh Grin

FirstnameSuesecondnamePerb · 19/11/2022 10:39

I would have no chance. I have about 50% success rate with traffic lights and cross walks

SkinnyFatte · 19/11/2022 10:40

They claim they've sorted it. 🤔

The chicken on the beach got me 😂

Hope your parcel turns up op.

They should try 'Click on your parcel at the Sorting Offfice'

They might get it quicker to you then.

It's really not hard to sort out the chickens from the penguins!

Probably not, but it's specifically asking for chickens in trees, not just which ones are chickens... And some of them are near trees, or in something that could be considered a tree, so it becomes ambiguous.

SpookySally · 19/11/2022 11:49

How ridiculous! No wonder it’s put you in a fowl mood OP.

Thanks for letting me know the site is broken. I paid £2.85 for the privilege of ensuring a time critical document could be confirmed nearly 2 weeks ago first class and thought it was me / my laptop that failed the "chicken versus robot test"

I thought it might be a novel postal strike tactic

Needmorelego · 19/11/2022 12:35

@SisterGeorgeMichael I had the cats/lions ones. Of course that's a difficult one because if you asked a cat if they identify as a lion they'd be like "of course I am a lion I am just a small one you silly human".

It's bloody hard work teaching Skynet to achieve self awareness, isn't it?

And all the time we're told it's to prove we aren't robots, but it's actually doing vital development work for AI to recognise everything seen in CCTV. Whoever owns the system that's running this shit is going to be richer than Musk when it goes on sale to the various governments and regimes that are going to love a computer flagging up 'Hey! Person #123546882245gnfke157-1 just looked at a Smartprice pig's hear and smiled. That means they're thinking about the government being crap - time to bring them in for re education!'.
