Papa Johns, food order, no customer service number?

PapaJohnsProblem · 02/11/2022 09:37

On Halloween we ordered pizza.

Non of the sides arrived, just pizza. Went to my order details to call and get sides delivered. Phone number listed for local Papa Johns that made our meal is Invalid. Just cuts off.

So no way to let them know order was incomplete.

No email. Just a 'feed back form' online that I filled in but heard nothing.

I can't find a head office number.

Local number is still 'invalid'.

How can they be a takeaway with no contact number?!

I want a refund for the items they never sent to me :(

Does anyone have a number I can ring?

The feedback form says they will contact you within 5 working days so just give them the chance to get back to you.
If the place is local, is it local enough to drop in to speak to them?

That's 5 days that I'm £20 down for something I've never recieved.

They're a food delivery company, how can they justify not having a number to ring if your food order is messed up? It's a heavy student area so I think theyve just disconnected the phone at the shop to stop complaints.

I don't drive, hence having it delivered.

Can you not go to the restaurant?

Soubriquet · 02/11/2022 09:48

Ah sorry. Missed the dont drive bit

SporkAndMonday · 02/11/2022 09:56

You'll just have to use the form

I get that it’s frustrating to wait for a refund but, if you’d received and eaten it, you’d still be missing that £20 out of your account so you can’t be annoyed about missing the refund due to being hard up, it will just take time to get it back that’s all, it’s been less than 2 days so far.

CarPoor · 02/11/2022 11:13

Go into store. They will say it is the stores responsibility to repay you

I had a similar issue. Contacted store through phone and and just ignored my calls. Contacted their customer service who never got back to me. Just go into store and speak to someone face to face

Honestly was just really really crap customer service

Bookworm20 · 02/11/2022 11:18

Had very similar recently. I paid with paypal though and i've now resorted to putting a claim through that way.

I did eventually get a reply through contacting them via the online form thing. They offered a voucher for 1 free pizza - with restrictions on what one even and a month validity (the order was for 4 large pizzas which didn't show up at all). I told them where to stick it and told them that was an insult.

Still awaiting whether paypal will refund via them.

I also had issues getting through to the store, line just kept ringing or cutting off straight away.

Safe to say I will never order from them again.
Good luck getting any money back from them. I feel your pain.

I think the point is that OP does not now have the money to buy that food elsewhere - and did not get the food to actually eat.

PapaJohnsProblem · 02/11/2022 11:23

It will cost me £6 on the bus or 11 quid in a taxi!

I shouldn't have to go in store. There should be a way to communicate with the place that makes the food, surely?

It's not like this is a little independent, surely a huge chain store their local number is on the page so it should be accessible?

Exactly. Halloween is my sons birthday so we got pizza to celebrate. £20 on sides is a lot of money (it was only 3 items!)
One of them for my son who doesn't like pizza so got wedges and chicken so he had to have something from the freezer

PapaJohnsProblem · 02/11/2022 11:26

My other son. Obviously I didn't order pizza for a kid who doesn't like pizza on his birthday 😂

It was a takeaway dinner. The sides won’t last numerous days after.

I work for papa johns. Which store was it?

My store has just had its phone lines changed and they were out of action for a couple of days.

Fallowfield, Manchester.

The thing is, you need to try restaurants at different times.

Quite often people ring during lunch or dinner when it’s really busy and it’s just not possible to answer the phone.

Or they might have had a wave of prank calls and disconnected due to that while it’s busy.

CarPoor · 02/11/2022 11:45

I think the phone lines ringing out is a longstanding problem. Mine was ringing out at first and then cut off. They just don't want to answer the phone

EarlofShrewsbury · 02/11/2022 11:46

That's not a store that's under our area.

I did just try to call them but your right about the number being down.

They have a Facebook page or you could wait for them to respond on the feedback thing, it can take up to 5 days though.

PJs are franchises and some are better than others. Hopefully you will hear from them soon.

bodgerandbadgerrr · 02/11/2022 11:47

If you’d had the sides you wouldn’t of been getting your £20 back

i don’t understand the issue

just use the form

Westendbuoys · 02/11/2022 11:48

Facebook or Twitter?

What did you say when they only handed you a pizza instead of pizza and sides? I've had the domino's guy go back to store for me because they forgot my wedges!

Cherry8809 · 02/11/2022 11:55

Surely you’d have noticed the other items were missing during the time of delivery, when only one box of pizza was handed over?
If you’d mentioned it to the driver, they would have gone back for you.

Justjoinedforthis · 02/11/2022 11:57

My partner orders from them once, nothing showed up, hanging the phone up when he tried to call back. He called next day and said he would get visa to refund it and they sent a guy round to courier cash over instead of refunding it…very dodgy, we thought money laundering or something!

Sniffypete · 02/11/2022 12:00

Didn't you realise when the driver handed you the order? Surely you would have been boxed short?

erinaceus · 02/11/2022 12:20

Are they on Twitter? You might be able to contact them that way.
