AIBU to want to purchase a bed that gets assembled

Thats all I'm asking really. I am trying to purchase a reasonably priced bed but I have to have it assembled as well and can't find someone who delivers AND assembles. Can anyone suggest anyone?

Do you have a Fitzgerald's nearby? They deliver and assemble.

I got my bed from dreams, they delivered and assembled it.

Have you tried John Lewis? They assembled units for me so would assume they would do beds too

We've used Dreams before for a children's bed. The service was good.

ikea contract people to put stuff together or at least used to, my mum paid 10% of the cost of her wardrobes to have them put together when they were delivered.

I second John Lewis for a service that includes assembly.

I've also purchased a bed from Bensons and they recommended someone who came and assembled it for £20.

Marks & Spencer will deliver and assemble.
You don't seem to have done very much research OP!

Hypnos if you arrange it in advance. I managed to fix the feet on myself using the included spanners. Divans are usually pretty much already assembled.

Also Oak Furnitureland will do it for a fee, as will Cotswold Co.

I'm just trying to find one I can bloody afford - it's been years since I brought a bed it's soooo expensive i'm trying to keep the cost down.

A lot of vendors will do it for you as well, e.g. Feather & Black.

You could also ask on the Nextdoor app if any handy person would do this & ask how much.

If it's a kids bed, the Children's Bed Centre do this.

I've recently bought a bedframe and mattress from IKEA and had the option to pay for assembly.

Try a local furniture shop some of the independent stores will do this as part of the price of the bed.

How much you got to spend on the bed?

We bought ours from the Sheffield Bed Company. They will assemble them for you when they deliver if you arrange it with them.

What about hiring someone to put them together? Do you have a Task Rabbit style service operating in your area?

budget is cheapy cheap as it's just a guest bed, not going to be used much.
