Thats all I'm asking really. I am trying to purchase a reasonably priced bed but I have to have it assembled as well and can't find someone who delivers AND assembles. Can anyone suggest anyone?

Do you have a Fitzgerald's nearby? They deliver and assemble.

MrsBungle · 16/10/2022 16:45

I got my bed from dreams, they delivered and assembled it.

Duolingolater · 16/10/2022 16:45

Have you tried John Lewis? They assembled units for me so would assume they would do beds too

TerryIsAllGold · 16/10/2022 16:46

Get Laid Beds will assemble for a fee when they deliver. We’ve used them twice and they’ve been great www.getlaidbeds.co.uk/delivery

We've used Dreams before for a children's bed. The service was good.

Thatiswild · 16/10/2022 16:48

ikea contract people to put stuff together or at least used to, my mum paid 10% of the cost of her wardrobes to have them put together when they were delivered.

FlowerArranger · 16/10/2022 16:48

I second John Lewis for a service that includes assembly.

I've also purchased a bed from Bensons and they recommended someone who came and assembled it for £20.

Puppypads · 16/10/2022 16:48

Marks & Spencer will deliver and assemble.
You don't seem to have done very much research OP!

Hypnos if you arrange it in advance. I managed to fix the feet on myself using the included spanners. Divans are usually pretty much already assembled.

GrouchyKiwi · 16/10/2022 16:49

Also Oak Furnitureland will do it for a fee, as will Cotswold Co.

I'm just trying to find one I can bloody afford - it's been years since I brought a bed it's soooo expensive i'm trying to keep the cost down.

Thanks everyone! gonna wade through all these suggestions now

I’ve order a bed for my daughter, which will be delivered and assembled this Wednesday. I got it from Dreams

JaninaDuszejko · 16/10/2022 16:52

I'm sure there are companies that will assemble flatpack furniture for you: here.

A lot of vendors will do it for you as well, e.g. Feather & Black.

Thrownunderabus · 16/10/2022 16:53

Land of beds offer assembly
www.landofbeds.co.uk/bed-assembly

As do Dreams
www.dreams.co.uk/assembly-services

Benson do for £30 but it says divan assembly
www.bensonsforbeds.co.uk/delivery-service/

in fact lots of places offer assembly.

bedknobsherts.co.uk/free-assembly/

www.beds4udirect.co.uk/home-delivery-assembly-option

You could also ask on the Nextdoor app if any handy person would do this & ask how much.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 16/10/2022 16:55

If it's a kids bed, the Children's Bed Centre do this.

TheNoodlesIncident · 16/10/2022 17:01

I've recently bought a bedframe and mattress from IKEA and had the option to pay for assembly.

JLQ1020 · 16/10/2022 17:03

Try a local furniture shop some of the independent stores will do this as part of the price of the bed.

LaurieFairyCake · 16/10/2022 17:04

How much you got to spend on the bed?

Abraxan · 16/10/2022 17:05

We bought ours from the Sheffield Bed Company. They will assemble them for you when they deliver if you arrange it with them.

Poppyblush · 16/10/2022 17:05

M&S, Costco?

TastesLikeFlavourlessFizz · 16/10/2022 17:06

What about hiring someone to put them together? Do you have a Task Rabbit style service operating in your area?

FirstnameSuesecondnamePerb · 16/10/2022 17:08

What's your budget?

DenholmElliot1 · 16/10/2022 17:09

budget is cheapy cheap as it's just a guest bed, not going to be used much.

headboard - £100
bed £200
mattress £200

in a neautral cream/stone colour.
