I’ve been lucky that I’ve not had nightmare neighbours, just rude and inconsiderate ones.

One ex neighbour used to use my driveway all the time until I blocked him in and he stopped.

Had the excessive noise ones - months of renovations, barking dog and crying baby.

@Clevererthanyou - We had a very similar problem. The neighbours upstairs in our block of flats had put a note on their door saying that we'd take in their parcels - I had never given permission for them to do that. I put up with it for a while, but then, on one occasion she came knocking at 9pm wanting to know where a parcel was - we hadn't taken it in and she basically made me feel as if she felt that we'd stolen it.
I've since told any courier that knocks that we don't take her stuff in. She now has to come home from work to accept parcels - serves the entitled woman right, to be honest.
Put a note on your door saying you don't take other people's parcels in. It's rubbish that your neighbour thinks you should have to do it for her. Some people are so entitled.

@habibihabibi - This made me laugh so much - "AND some of him was on our side !!"

She and her partner they would fight like cat and dog, they would say the vilest things to each other, screech like banshees and break stuff up. It would regularly get physical and they both gave as good as they got.

We were attached houses off a lane converted from an old outbuilding (badly so the wall were paper thin) . She owned, I rented. My little house dog legged off the road so it had a drive & hers was mews so didn't. She took to parking on my drive as I didn't have a car at that time. I politely asked her not too. She threw a giant temper tantrum about how she owns her home, not fucking useless cunt of a student renter scum so she will be having the drive. I said, it's still a no.

She ignored me and parked there regardless.

I think as I was a shy 18 year old student she felt that i should just bow to her wishes and was outraged that i said no to her. So she then reported me to every single agency she could think of with any tale of woe she could imagine up. My Landlord/Agent/RSPCA mistreating my animals (i didn't have any)/ Social - beating my kids (I didn't have any)/ fly tipping/ prostitution / water leak/ gas leak you get the idea. I had a knock on the door from some service wanting to have a 'quick chat' most days for about a year.

It came to a head when she came to use the drive and found one of those huge cement motorway lane dividers across the entrance. My new boyfriend who was road crew had got one of his guys to drop it there in the middle of the night. (he had a motorbike so it didn't inconvenience him)

She came round full of rage and very obviously spoiling for fight yelling and ranting as she walked round from where she parked her car. I heard her as she passed in front of the living room window swearing and yelling her head off and HAMMERED on the door to the point that pictures on the wall rattled. I legged it down the stairs just in time to see her comedy gulp and a slow upward stare that just carried on up when the absolute unit of my new partner answered the door. A strapping lad of 6' 5 and his shoulders filled the hall.

She was nice as pie after that, almost sickeningly nice.

(I should add he may have looked an absolute unit, he was HUGE - but he had a heart to match and wouldn't have hurt her or even said a mean word to her. He was a gentle and wonderful soul - she just made the assumption. I want to stress that he did not do a thing to warrant that assumption he literally just opened the door)

Love this. So glad it worked out for you.

Nothing like as bad as some of these but CFery. Telling us, a few days after we moved in, that they were having their fence replaced, weren't using the existing postholes but wanted to dig new ones. In our concrete path.

Telling me they didn't like the leaves from our shrubs in their garden. Cutting in half a leaf that dared poke over the fence.

They went on a long cruise and during their absence a mole tunnelled all over their velvet lawn, only just below the surface. Oh, how we laughed.

Where did you buy the mole?😁😁😁
