To want one night stay in a hotel / lodge / cottage with a hot tub

FFS! It's driving me potty.

DF is having a big birthday this weekend. Lots of suggestions leading up but he's said he'd love to just go on a great big walk, come back and sit in a hot tub sipping wine. Brilliant! I'll sort it.

Cue 5 days later and can't find anything at all, all minimum stays and wanting crazy money (£500+!)

Does anyone know of anywhere?

We're in Lancashire but can travel

The spa is amazing, close to countryside for walks and lovely food. I've never stayed overnight, but I'm sure it's lovely.

Or Center Parcs do similar (Penrith or Sherwood is probably closer) in spa apartments for overnight breaks.

Ruthin castle in North Wales is a spa hotel with hot tubs in the grounds and beautiful countryside around it, they do 1 night stays for around £200. If they are too far they have a sister hotel in Macclesfield, shrigley hall, I'm not sure if that one has hot tubs but has a spa so worth a look? I'm guessing you've already checked Ribby Hall?

You won't get a cottage or Airbnb for one night like others have said, but if you consider hotel options you should be able to get a decent one night package.

Very few will do 1 night stays because its not economical for them. The cleaning and changeover work makes it inefficient, plus most other customers will want two nights so they struggle to fill the other night, leaving them only getting half the revenue they expect for the weekend.

You may find they will give you a single night if you ask about an unpopular mid week night when they may have no bookings.

Hire a hot tub? Kills the grass but v likely to be able to get one.

Also Thornley Leisure holidays. Minumim 3 night stay but just looked and its only £400 this weekend for a caravan with a private Hot Tub. At The Beach resort in North Wales which I highly recommend.

Try the Lakes Hotel & Spa in Windermere. It used to be called the Burnside. They have spa rooms with a hot tub.

The Crab & Lobster near Thirsk has rooms with a private hot tub or Ramside Hall near Durham has tree houses with hot tubs. Not a hot tub but the Black Horse at Beamish (County Durham) has nice rooms with large circular baths.

Do you want a private hot tub? If not, try Titanic Spa near Huddersfield. Lovely apartments.

But the Titanic is woefully lacking in the hot tub department. Admittedly it is some years since I went, but they had one tiny hot tub and you couldn't get near it.

the way the restaurant full of non spa guests in clothes is right in the middle of the spa is just weird all round too.

There’s quite a few hotels on booking.com with access to a communal jacuzzi in the spa part of the hotel for a lot less than £500. Some include dinner, bed and breakfast and are available this Saturday.

There’s a farm by dovestones resevoir in saddleworth that has lodges with hot tubs

We stayed in one in Devon which I appreciate is too far. I found it on cool stays which I think is now called Hip Camping?

Often you can contact them and ask if they’ll do one night if it’s out of season. I’ve done that before and they often agree.

Or put the hot tub filter on Airbnb...also lots of places in Lancashire with hot tubs that look like they accept 1 night stays.

Apologies if it's already been mentioned but White Cross Bay at Troutbeck is gorgeous. They usually do a 2 night stay minimum but if you can see on the availability calender that one night is free then you can contact the owners direct to see if they will rent the lodge out to you for just the one night.

Give Rossendale Holiday Cottages a call. They have 'Stable' (a studio) available for this Sat night for £119. They have an onsite hot tub that you book for private use which costs £120 so you need to check to see if it's already booked. If it's available, it should cost you £239 total for accommodation and hot tub combined.
