To flush slugs

Inspired by the spider in the bin thread. Conscience pricking me a bit.

I have (had) a problem with slugs in the kitchen at night. They get in somewhere behind the fitted units but I’m not sure exactly where / how.
I dropped them outside for a while but they eventually came back.

So I started to flush any I found down the toilet. The slug problem is now very much reduced. I know that to flush the slugs was not kind. But was I unreasonable?

I wouldn't have thought they'd block the pipes, they're too slimy

Ok. So, I laugh at some funny comments on the thread about "slugmaggedon" etc.

Some people have said they kill slugs on purpose. I said that I don't do that, I put them in the green bin with lots of stuff for them to eat inside.

And you for some incomprehensible reason choose me out of all of the posters on the thread to call "stupid" and have a go at. Repeatedly. Again, please can you explain why?

Why is me putting slugs in my green bin with plants worse than the various other things posters - who you haven't attacked personally , repeatedly, as you have me - have said that they do including:
*Drowning them
*Flushing them down the toilet
*Dehydrating them to death with bran/ salt

And no, I have no slugs in my home. But I feel very sorry for the posters who do. If you love them so much perhaps you should provide your address, then the poor posters who do have slugs invading their houses will know where the slug sanctuary is and can send them all to you. Problem solved.

Hell, since you love them so much I'll even make the effort to post you any I find outside in future instead of putting them in the green bin.

I get them in the livingroom . I used to put them outside but it didn't seem to help the problem. I now put them in the bin

Stay out od the garden if you don't like wildlife.

Yeah, not wanting dlugs in the house means I have a real hate of wildlife!
