Today my hairdresser washed one womans hair, did the deep head massage thing and then without washing her hands, then did mine. Aibu to think this is unhygienic ?

She washed your hair in warm water, with shampoo & conditioner?

What do you think washing her hands separately would do in addition to this?

Do you usually have issues and anxiety around cleanliness? This sounds extreme to me.

That wouldn't bother me, but I do generally wash my hair when I get back from the hair dressers because all the stuff they put on it make me feel horrible .

I've never seen a hair dresser wash her hands between washing clients hair. The act of washing the hair is cleaning their hands thoroughly.

Poor woman would have no hands left if she did that all day.

The poor woman stood with her hands in soap and water for several minutes and they still weren't clean enough for OP!

Even if she did wash her hands separately she isnt going to use a nail brush to scrub her nails

Look if it makes you feel better just do it. You don't need anyone else to tell you not to. It's your hair, presumably your water bill and your shampoo. You don't need to crowd source opinion on this, people will tell you you're weird.

I often do this but for different reasons. The dye makes my scalp itch and I do the curls better. Had it done yesterday and washed it this morning, so I held out!!
