To ask if any of you have been or are in "the queue?"

I'm really fascinated by it and the utter determination and grit of people queueing for that long.
What did you do? How do you eat drink wee and return to your spot? Does your back ache? Can you have a sit down?
Maybe answering me will.pass some time.

Not in the queue but I imagine those behind David Beckham for 12 hrs passed the time quite cheerfully!

DH did 12+ hours overnight from 11pm, he stood at the coffin at 11.40 just before they changed the guard - he got the 8pm train to London last night and the 12.45 train home this afternoon. He is knackered and now in bed. It would have been much quicker but the line stopped at 3am and didn’t move for almost 3 hours. He met up with a couple of people he ‘knows’ from an ex military group on fb and said it really helped.
