I was heading out to the blood donor centre earlier and my neighbours were out in the back garden with their toddler. We said hi and then my neighbour said: "If you're feeling at all faint afterwards, just give me a ring and I'll come on down and pick you up.

I don't know whether to dial 999, 101 or just keep a log of this suspicious activity. Just so that I'm not accused of drip feeding, they mowed the back garden for me last week while I was down the footie ..... 🤷

TheDuck2018 · 04/09/2022 15:22

Are you for real? What suspicious activity....they're being kind. You should try it sometime....

stoosk1 · 04/09/2022 15:23

That does sound a bit bad if you didn’t tell them already

PriamFarrl · 04/09/2022 15:24

🤣🤣 I don't do stealth. I'm an "in yer face" type of woman. Think MN neighbours get a bad rap in general: just redressing the old balance 😘

You must report them immediately. Or kill them.
You forgot to say they were "elderly, in their fifties" though. And the fact the weirdos say hello when they see you.
Do they take your parcels in? The freaks!

Mossygreenchypre · 04/09/2022 15:26

😆You're joking, right?

Oh. You're joking because your neighbours are nice?

Sorryisjustaword · 04/09/2022 15:27

I think it was lovely of them to offer to pick you up.

JustTheOneSwan · 04/09/2022 15:27

Thoughts and prayers OP thoughts and prayers.

Yeah, of course 😍

So do I. I love 'em and they're moving. And taking my 18 month old ray of sunshine with. Gutted 😪

I think you need to make an appointment for a free 30 minutes of legal advice.

Then get your ducks in a row. They are gaslighting you and must be narcissists. So tone deaf of them during the cost of living crisis to brag that they can pick you up in their car. I assume they earn 6 figures and you know all the deep details of their financial affairs. Get a ring camera, book a spa day and bulk everything up with lentils. You’re going to need it.

I'm elderly (55) 😳 They're in their 30s. Come to think of it, yeah .....they DO take in parcels. This is serious, right? 😚

999 now, OP. They're clearly planning on murdering you to steal your identity. 111 will just make a log of it.

🤣🤣 That's made me smile. I'm killing time down the blood donor centre, so the distraction was most welcome 😘

MN will hate DH and me... One of the first things we do if there's a power cut or an issue with water supply is pop next door to check on our octogenarian neighbours. Then help them out with candles or flask of hot water (we have a camping gas stove for uninterrupted tea backup). We are the worst

BringBackCoffeeCreams · 04/09/2022 15:37

I have one of these. He's a keen garden and keeps giving me boxes full of freshly dug up veg. The bastard!

BringBackCoffeeCreams · 04/09/2022 15:37

He’s controlling you and forcing you to be a vegetarian.

Summertimesadnesss · 04/09/2022 15:41

I think from your initial post and updates the only option you have is to move

Summertimesadnesss · 04/09/2022 15:42

It would be helpful if the other posters who also live near such horrendous neighbours could share locations so fellow mumsnetters know where to avoid moving too 😂
