Or is the Zara website virtually unusable?

i just wanted to buy a few basics for the autumn/winter and it is utterly painful trying to use the Zara website to do so. You can’t order by price, the way it lists items is weird, it’s really slow… it’s just terrible! Do they really do so well from in store purchases that they don’t have to try or am I somehow technologically inept?

It’s terrible. God forbid you see something you like and don’t buy it there and then because I can never find an item if I try looking for it again.

Try using the App it's a little more user friendly.

noclothesinbed · 04/09/2022 07:45

My daughter buys her clothes from Zara. As i am the one who washes and irons them I can see what bad quality her clothes are I know they are very popular but I don't see why they seem cheap to me

MissBPotter · 04/09/2022 07:45

I agree it’s terrible. The app is better, I wouldn’t be able to buy anything on the website!

BusySittingDown · 04/09/2022 07:52

It's awful! You can't see the prices and the photos are usually of the model in a weird angle so you can't see the product properly and there are no other photos for you to swipe and see from different angles.

It's a shame because I see people in lovely Zara stuff frequently but I don't have a Zara locally.

Ah well, maybe they're doing my bank account a favour 😃.

JumpNWave · 04/09/2022 07:57

Dreadful. Too many moving images of models which don’t showcase the clothes properly. Disorganised and cluttered. Unusable.

VladmirsPoutine · 04/09/2022 07:57

It's terrible but I think that's part of the aesthetic. I was trying to ascertain how a certain pair of trousers looked but the model appeared to be suspended from air on a book shelf Confused
Their clothes are stylish albeit over-priced (sales you get some great bargains). That said it's their sizing I take issue with - just vibes, no method or measure.

WillPowerLite · 04/09/2022 07:59

It's one of the worst retail websites out there. Seriously awful.

rocketfromthecrypt · 04/09/2022 08:06

The site is terrible, the staff in the physical shops are rude. God forbid you have a question, or are over a size12. The clothes are almost all horrible quality. Yet people rave about it. I think it's like running a marathon - something you have to endure in order to impress.

heyitsthistle · 04/09/2022 08:08

YANBU, it's terrible design, presumably on purpose to drive users to download the app.

Afterfire · 04/09/2022 08:08

I think Zara is like a slightly more expensive version of Shein with the same quality. Just awful and their website is just as bad!

Totally agree. I have never understood the hype of the world's first ever fast fashion chain. Shit ethics, shit clothes, shit website and shit staff in shitty messy jumble sale shops.

TrufflesForBreakfast · 04/09/2022 08:12

... and don't get me started on the sizing...

Yep, it's been that way for years.

Dsis and I have a long running joke where we send each other photos of our outfit choices in weird Zara-esque poses 😃

KangarooKenny · 04/09/2022 08:14

My DD has had a couple of the jogging suits and they have bobbled very quickly, not fantastic quality.

QuentininQuarantino · 04/09/2022 08:18

I like Zara! I use the app not the website and have a huge store nearby. I like that I can find proper fabrics there like 100% wool or cashmere jumpers and linen and cotton shirts and dresses. I just don’t buy their polyester. I also live in Spain where it’s very cheap, cheaper than mango and about the same as H&M or Primark (which is slightly more expensive here than in the uk) prices. And for sizing, unless something’s oversized I’m usually quite a reliable M.

I do not rate the quality of their kids clothes though, they never last the season.

georgarina · 04/09/2022 08:20

Can't stand it. All the giant pictures and sorted by looks rather than categories, plus half the pictures don't load. It's useless.

todoornot · 04/09/2022 08:26

I love Zara and haven't had a problem with the quality of clothes.
The website is dreadful - the app only slightly better. What kills me are the model images; spread eagled, standing on one leg or crouching like Spider-Man. Just stand up fgs!

Prinnny · 04/09/2022 08:30

Yep it’s terrible. Website very user unfriendly and the models stand in weird poses so you can’t get a real feel for the clothes. Also the sizing is all over the place atm. My last three large orders have all been sent back! God knows where I’m going to try next for my autumn/winter wardrobe 😫

Loocheeyar · 04/09/2022 08:34

impossible to use
really inappropriate poses for some of the younger things
absolutely terrible “quality”

Skinterior · 04/09/2022 08:36

They make the website random to encourage you to use the app instead.

Loads of brands do this, it increases sales as people still boredom shop in apps like mad.

Dunno what Oliver Bonas' excuse is though, they don't even have an app.

ClaireEclair · 04/09/2022 08:38

I stopped shopping there for that exact reason.
it’s a terrible website.

yanxy · 04/09/2022 08:39

Love their clothes but the site is so clunky

acorntotree · 04/09/2022 08:42

The site is awful and the clothes look so bad on the models too. When I go in the store, the nearest one is quite far away so can't do it much, I find loads that I like but never can when I look in the site.

OrangeKettle · 04/09/2022 08:43

Others have said their staff are rude. This is what I have found every single time my daughters have taken me in there. Why is that? They’re the most miserable people! (The staff, not my daughters!)
