AIBU to think it is completely inappropriate ? I just can’t understand which bright spark thought it was a good idea !!

if it was Pornhub I might agree but Hooters are basically just an overpriced chicken wings shop

I guess it's not appropriate buuut it's also kind of funny and the kids won't notice as long as the hooter girls aren't there providing wings and pints to the players after matches.

I never understood all the furore about hooters. It's a restaurant that has attractive women working as waitresses. No different to plenty of other restaurants. They just make it a selling point, a marketing gimmick, that's all.

What! We all know Hooters is another way of saying big tits. So a kids football team is now sponsored by a restaurant whose name means 'big tits'.

I'm pretty liberal but even I can see that's not the best choice for an U10 boys sports team😄

They're under 10 so don't need sexualised advertising they will be being taught not to objectify girls and women.

Surely the people claiming this is fine are being deliberately provocative / stupid or is there some desperate feminist angle they are claiming.

It’s the connotations of Hooters and the objectification of women. The boys in the team may be too young at the moment to understand but they will be learning that people think this is ok and the sexism women and girls face on a daily basis will continue .

I think in a time where pupil on pupil assault in school is rising and our young kids are being bombarded with sexualised content easily accessed on line, whoever thought aligning ones team with a brand which sexualises female staff so much, needs to re-read the room

Like so many things it's one of those it's easy to say there's no harm/it's just chicken wings/there too young to notice etc

But the next few years will be hugely formative for young boys becoming men and their attitude, expectations and dare I say - entitlement to girls, women and sex.

Just such an odd choice of alignment - like many people I've been desperately trying to bring my DS up to respect people for who they are, not what they look like and hooters epitomises the old fashioned mindset of "phwoar big boobs".
