Could I be pregnant?

MummaB22 · 28/08/2022 12:25

Hello all,

Apologies for putting this under AIBU, however looking for some traffic on the post. Hope that's ok💐

So I have a 6 month old DD. Been on the pill from when she was 3 weeks old! Came off it in June due to constant bleeding. Bleeding stopped, period returned to normal, thought great. Me and DP have been careful, apart from 2 silly nights when I was apparently ovulating.

So,

•My last period was July 28th.
•Going by the Flo app, I'm apparently 3 days late.
I was supposed to have ovulated between 1-12th august (I know it's not guaranteed to be accurate especially as we weren't tracking).
• I took a rest the day before and the day after my period was due. And it's negative.

My period is usually bang on.

Wtf is going on!

Could I be pregnant? Is my body just adjusting after DD?

I'm still getting some discharge which is clear. Not loads. Just reminds me of when I fell pregnant with DD.

Help & advice welcome from a very anxious mumma! 🤣

Thanks x

Of course you could be pregnant if you had unprotected sex around ovulation

Woman? Had sex?

Answer to your question...yes.

The next two posts after mine have kindly said what I want to say. Please read them @MummaB22 they are stating absolute facts.

georgarina · 28/08/2022 12:39

But surely it's obvious you could be pregnant if you had sex while you were ovulating? Were you expecting another answer?

Indeed. It would surley not be a surprise? Honestly no one here can tell you but in the time it took to post you could have done a test and got a definite answer.

Hidingawaytoday · 28/08/2022 12:43

I think the OP knows she could be, but if you read carefully you'll see the OP has taken TWO tests which are negative. So is rightfully confused as to why her period is late.

OP, I'd leave it a couple of days and test again with your first pee of the day. It could just be your body catching up with baby. I hope you get the result you want 😊

ditalini · 28/08/2022 12:44

Yes you could be pregnant.

Wait a week and test again unless there's a medical or social reason for you to confirm a pregnancy as early as possible in which case see your gp.

Topgub · 28/08/2022 12:47

Why would you post asking if you could be pregnant when you could do a pregnancy test?

No one hear can tell you if you're pregnant or not

YellowRoad · 28/08/2022 12:54

Well, you could be.

whosaidtha · 28/08/2022 12:55

She's done two tests. That's her question really. Stop being so mean and read the post properly.
Periods can be late for a range of reasons. Leave it a couple of days and test again.
Hope you get the result you want.

lifeohhifeee · 28/08/2022 12:57

OP just take a test then least you no 🙂

She has taken two!

Unanananana · 28/08/2022 13:00

You've not long had a baby. You must know how this works?

You knew you were ovulating. You had sex. You must be aware that that could make another baby. Do you want another child?

Asking on AIBU is just silly. What are you expecting posters to say?

TheNonsensePotter · 28/08/2022 13:01

How can anyone on an online forum answer this question for you?

Fivemoreminutesinbed · 28/08/2022 13:02

I suspect you aren't but please get some contraception sorted ASAP.

RainbowsMoonbeams · 28/08/2022 13:02

Could just be hormones still adjusting from birth. Are you breastfeeding? My periods were all over the place for a while after my last baby.

Sorry some have been rude. The point they are making is valid, but could have been done without the bitchiness.

Lockheart · 28/08/2022 13:05

If you're a sexually active woman who hasn't gone through the menopause yet, then the answer to "could I be pregnant?" is always "Yes".

But no-one can tell you on here. Wait until you miss a period and then take a pregnancy test.

fghj149 · 28/08/2022 13:05

Hope you’re ok either way op ❤️ 💐

Exactly.

It beggars belief that you'd come on line and ask for strangers opinions on this unanswerable question.

Just wait a while, you'll find out soon enough.

God I feel old - patience is a virtue.

Flutterbybudget · 28/08/2022 13:12

Short answer, yes, you could be pregnant.
Tests are not always reliable, especially in the very early days of a pregnancy.
Give it a few weeks and do another one, or go ahead see your GP, if you can get an appointment, if you are concerned.

I had an appointment with the IVF clinic, because we were trying for a baby, had no periods but all the tests were negative. Had a scan to see what was going on. Turned out thatI was pregnant. Fantastic news for US.
I also got pregnant very quickly after having a baby, and still breastfeeding.
It happens

Good luck OP
