What utter crap is being manufactured/sold FFS! Honestly I despair of the human race.

Hope the link works.

Squish mine out with warm water and shampoo.

Am I grotty?

Horsemad · 27/08/2022 11:48

Lol, I do too. Admittedly boiling water but how the hell have we managed for so long without this amazing piece of equipment??! 🤔

Gingernaut · 27/08/2022 11:48

Horsemad · 27/08/2022 11:49

To be fair they can get awful bacteria and mold inside if not washed properly/thoroughly enough. It's a common thing with beauty blenders.

NovaDeltas · 27/08/2022 11:52

Christmas is coming and people can't wait to fill landfills with plastic tat.

Horsemad · 27/08/2022 11:52

@FleursSechees So wash them more THOROUGHLY/FREQUENTLY then?!

OP posts:
YesitsBess · 27/08/2022 11:52

Forty one pounds! Forty. One. Pounds!

Horsemad · 27/08/2022 11:53

If anyone bought me anything like that, I think I'd jump on it in front of them. 🤬

The point is it's quite hard to wash beauty blenders thoroughly, it takes a while to sanitize them fully. Some people don't know how or can't be arsed. I think it's a great invention, not at 40 odd quid though.

If they don't know how, or cba they deserve a manky face tbh.

Why is it crap?

Sponges are notoriously hard to clean properly

Skyeheather · 27/08/2022 12:09

Could get this to go with it!

@AnnaFri because it's unnecessary plastic tat.

It's quite easy to clean sponges properly, people are just lazy.

Is it? I've seen people cut "clean" ones open to reveal a shit loads of manky foundation. It's expensive and I have no idea where you'd store it though.

Nothing wrong with that - its like the mini fridges people have for beer and shit

thereisonlyoneofme · 27/08/2022 12:30

People have fridges for shit 😮

Anniegetyourgun · 27/08/2022 12:30

Two other possibilities: (1) Don't use a sponge, (2) don't wear make-up. Cheaper (obviously) and better for the skin (mostly).

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/08/2022 12:32

Nail techs used to be able to buy machines to shake the polish bottles before use.

Rowen32 · 27/08/2022 12:35

I would love that!

Exactly. They're not easy to clean at all, people have been complaining about this aspect of beauty blenders for years, hence why this product has now been invented.

Yes. If there isn't a market for it it won't sell. I don't get what the point of going haha what a ridiculous item this is. Someone might like it.

That would be a monstrous waste. Not to mention rude. And a bit frightening.
