Making caramel at home today. Was just about done when he and my sister called in. I warned them both not to touch the bowl because it was still extremely hot.

Fucking muppet BIL sticks his finger straight in it. I genuinely can't believe he did it (he's the type to touch a gate with a wet paint sign to see if it's actually wet!)

Cue him screaming in pain and needing to be driven to A&E to get it seen to. No doubt he'll have to have time off sick from work, because he works in a wet fish shop and I don't see how he can work with a bandaged finger.

I'm annoyed because he's apparently blaming me for leaving the bowl out! Apparently saying "do not touch that, it's extremely hot", wasn't good enough.

I had an old friend that tried picking up a fire pit and obviously burnt his hand. He then had a go at me for not having whatever cream he thought I should have. I told him if he hadn’t been such a licking idiot and touched the fire pit he wouldn’t need any damn cream. He shut up after that.

Hm. There's hot and then there's caramel hot. He was warned but I'd have been the type to have warned that it was sugar and how dangerous it is when it's melted. It's different to other things. He probably thought he could hack it but was ignorant about sugar. Still - he had to learn the hard way.

His finger really did look quite badly burned (scalded?)... He ruined new trousers a couple of years ago by leaning on a newly painted wall that had a wet paint sign. He's a tit, honestly.

i put my finger in hot fudge that I was making myself once because I’m an absolute tit! Didn’t blame anybody else for my stupidity though. Hurt a lot 🙄

I spilled a pot of boiling caramel over my wrist and hand and ended up in the burns clinic
Put cold water on it straight away but then the caramel obviously set...

I'd be pissed off that his unwashed hands were in my bowl of caramel..... eurghhh!
