I'm a bit drunk and fucking cross. Insult and offend me. Crack on. Exercise your right to attempt to give offence and my prerogative to not take offence. Here's some meat to get you started.

• there are two human sexes. Wear what you fucking want but there's no such things as crossing or transient sexes. Just dresses and doc martin boots.

• its in the UK's best interest for the highest court in the land to be based here, not in a supranational organisation (Brexit voter, so juicy meat here)

The internet echo chamber will have you believe that JKR's views are minority but there's plenty of people who also think this way and plenty more who just don't want to admit that they do. Lots of people don't want to be held hostage by a generation of kids/just barely adults who just don't have a grasp on the reality of the situation and are too egocentric to want to hear an alternative view.... I will await my sentencing and burning at the stake...

What makes you think I am under the impression that any of my views are held by another soul on the planet? I posted those as sort of 'goady' topics that people often disagree on the internet about, to make a point that we can disagree without name calling, or indeed that I can tolerate name calling. (Sticks and stones and all that). The topics I've posted about don't matter. We can discuss whether marmite is delicious or disgusting if you like.

But by calling my viewpoint 'laughable' is getting close. Why is it laughable?

It's interesting how people have changed since having internet access.
There was a time that people could disagree and still rub along together.
Everything now means you have to take sides and bring the other side down by any means possible, usually by lying and throwing shit to see what sticks. It's completely toxic.

And no, your views on sex are absolutely not the minority as I'm sure you know. It's just the very loud voices are drowning out the sensible ones.
I think they've convinced themselves that because most people will be polite and look the other way and say nothing, that it means that they agree.

Something as complicated as the Arab-Israeli conflict, the Syrian war, the refugee crisis, Brexit, reduced to a crass phrase or image which is neither enlightening nor informative, but is narrow and combative. Yes! That’s the point, polar opposite’s politically (on the whole, not every issue) but same values in everyday life just different ideas about how to achieve things politically. And guess what? We’ve had a few conversations about Brexit / voting etc and neither of us called the other thick / ignorant / deluded / selfish / or uneducated. Quite the revelation. In fact, it doesn’t effect our day to day lives at all.
