To wonder what has happened to dove stick deodorant

And to wonder what people are using instead?

I've been using dove stick deodorant for at least the last 10 years, and it's the only deodorant I get on with (can't stand sprays or roll ons).

I havnt been able to find any in the shops for months, and have tried mitchum stick and a different dove that's a cream but not like the stick, and both leave bad marks on my clothes/make me feel more sweaty.

I've seen you can buy the dove stick on amazon but for 3 times what it was in the shops.

Firstly, has anyone any idea if its just a supplier issue and they'll be coming back (please!)
Secondly, anyone else that has used this for years and can't get any now, what are you using now, can you recommend anything similar?

You can buy it in homebargains a lot cheaper than anywhere else. I always stock up when I go there.

I started using Wild last year. I am a very sweaty, menopausal woman. It's not an anti-perspirant, but it is a damn good deodorant.

This is the only deodorant that my skin tolerates! I did a bit of digging abd apparently it's an issue with the manufacturer and it is planned for it to return!

I miss it too! Apparently its a supply issue because it is made in Russia.

They were made in Russia and are switching production to somewhere else.

There was a thread on this a few weeks ago. It’s due to the mechanisms being made in Ukraine (or Russia, can’t remember).

Ih no, I hadn't noticed - I have enough stocked for probably a year. Hopefully the shortage or replacement product will be fully stocked before I go looking.

My last remaining Dove stick says 'Made in Russia'... so methinks that it may be the reason why there's none in the shops at the moment. Hopefully there's a new factory (somewhere friendlier) churning them out now.

Tbh I hadn't noticed the stick one not being available, but I use the dove maximum protection one. It's the most similar thing to the stick

It is a nightmare, as others have said, as it is SOOOOOO much better at its job than anything else on the market

I can’t get hold of Mitchum stick either!

I'm having the same problem getting hold of Sure Cotton Dry Antiperspirant Deodorant Stick, apparently they have supply issues too. Not sure where they are made.

Also missing it!! Looked high and low - am currently using the Mitchum stick but it’s not the same 😢

I think I got the last mitchum in my town today as that was sold out everywhere as well.

I can't find sure sticks anywhere but have found the sanex ones to be good

I'm having the same issue but with Mitchum...just can't get it anywhere and it's the only one that works for me.

I've just started using sanex invisible stick deodorant after i couldn't get the sure one i use anywhere. Definitely recommend the sanex one.

They had some Sure ones at Tesco this week but they were £5 I didn't want to pay that much. I have a Dove one at the moment but there were none available.

I find the Sanex stick to be really 'wet' / sticky, like a roll on. Also, it doesn't last a busy / hot 16 hours day like the Dove and Nivea ones do / did.

Not been able to find the Dove nor Nivea ones for weeks though.

Try Crystal Deodorant - many brands - e.g. Salt of the Earth - available in most supermarkets and Holland & Barratt. Costs a bit more, but lasts for a really long time if you don't drop it or leave it wet.

Really works - and no residue.

I've been using the mitchum unscented stick forever. Almodt out of it. Managed to pick up a mitchum extreme gel in boots but I'm not convinced by it. I've been stinking by the end of the day.

They had sure cream but there was no indication as to whether it contained scent or not.
