NO NO i did not nor did the dogs. i have 2 dogs that are shedding alot. So i had washed and groomed them outside. She comes home flings her back door open and starts brushing her patio at id say gone 11 at night. Saying i come home and theres all this shit in my garden. Its a bit of dog hair.

So the neighbour complained about dog hair in her garden, not shit? Why couldn’t you just write this in your first post.

Yes YABU. Dog hair doesn’t evaporate because you groom outside, it is going to blow somewhere and I wouldn’t particularly want to find dog hair all over my garden and patio either. You should have swept up after yourself.

Dog hair that had probably blown in the wind not. But she said it loud enough beacsue she wanted a reaction, the minuite she comes home flinging her door open. Its just constant comments.

I did sweep up after myself. But like i said it is 2 big dogs washed and groomed after each other so it was alot of hair and i must have missed some.

I have dogs and I'd be pissed off too if a load of hair had blown onto my patio. I bet it's not the only time either. You need to be more careful.

Did you call back over the fence - "omg so sorry, I groomed my dogs today. I thought I'd cleaned it all up. Can I come round and sweep it up for you"

If you don't want the comments from her then make sure the dog hair doesn't blow into her garden.

I think just be more careful next time. No one wants someone else's wet dog hair on their patio.

Two dogs that shed a lot will produce a LOT of hair tufts. I'd be annoyed but let it go if it's a one-off. But I wouldn't want that blowing into my garden either.

That’s not nice to come home to. Can you not manage not to get it in your neighbour’s garden?

Now that you know that you’re not getting it all are you going to make sure that you do better?

So groom them in your kitchen and hoover up. Why should your neighbour have to tolerate your mess?

It sounds like this has been irritating her for a long time. YABU not to be a more considerate neighbour.

Aw what a disappointment. I was hoping this would be that one of the other neighbours had ordered a load of farmyard manure to be delivered for the garden and it had been dropped at the wrong house.

My DDad was a keen gardener and used to order a trailerful at a time. I remember one day my DMum was entertaining new neighbours to tea when a farmhand turned up at the door loudly enquiring where she wanted this shit. Happy days!

No there was not loads of wet dog hair in her garden. I walk the dogs through the right of way through her garden and there was nothing. I have been washing the dogs in the garden for years with no problem. She is not an approachable person just makes constant comments. Her grass is maybe 2ft tall and full of cat shit. It would have simply been the fact that i dare to brushing and washing dogs in the garden.

Don’t let your dogs hair mess up other peoples gardens, and if you do, offer to clean it up. Then you won’t have a problem.

I’d be pissed off to come home and find crap from someone else’s pets all over my garden too.

You should go and apologise.
