Pease Pudding - yes or no?

Went to a lovely little cafe in our village today, I had a pease pudding and ham sandwich. Delicious. I do love a good pease pudding. My children all think I’m weird and are convinced I’m the only person in the world that likes such a thing!

AIBU or is pease pudding a delicious and enjoyable food stuff?

Yes it's really nice especially properly homemade. It's not wet at all. Makes a sandwich taste like pea and ham soup

Pease pudding is nice but I can't imagine it would be any use in a sandwich.

I made it once to use up some leftover ham. It was amazingly delicious given my high level of dubiousness.

At home you can also make it as wet, or not as you like.

Its not soggy, it’s just like a spread, you could use instead of butter.

It's a shame it tricks you into thinking it's sweet with the word pudding. It's just like cold mushy peas which I wouldn't spread on my sandwich but I know plenty who like it.

Southerner here. Also an East End/Essex favourite.
Love pease pudding. Excellent hot or cold.
I like it cold on a salty cracker or hot with sausages/saveloy or ham. Delish.

@MarshaMelrose you could easily leave it in the pot for 9 days as it tastes better the longer you leave it.
