Sad about him shouting

Hi so my boyfriend is currently napping and has been napping from 3 we were both laying in bed relaxing and he fell asleep. I got up to go to the loo and took my jumper off as it was hot.
He woke up and started raising his voice ‘ you always fucking wake me up’ ‘fucking faffing about with your clothes and chucking your phone down on the bed’ ‘Let me fucking sleep!!’ But the end of the sentence he was shouting.

Am I unreasonable to be upset about this? We had a full 12 hours last night so it’s not as if it was vital and I didn’t mean to disturb him. He often wakes me up at 5 am and goes to the loo and I’m never moody or annoyed by him.

I’ve come into the living room and am in tears. I feel a bit silly I just hate it when people swear and shout.

thanks x

He sounds unstable/deranged/bully.
Get out, this relationship is not a place I’d want my daughter to be.

LightandMomentary · 06/08/2022 17:43

If he was my BF, he'd be my ex BF after that. Arse.

SammyScrounge · 06/08/2022 17:44

He's not a keeper, is he?

Sheepreallylikerichteabiscuits · 06/08/2022 17:44

Does he have any good points? Because he sounds like a complete arse from this post

Topseyt123 · 06/08/2022 17:46

I'm afraid I would have no sympathy whatsoever with that and would have told him very firmly to shut up.

Topseyt123 · 06/08/2022 17:47

I also might well have shown him the door. He sounds very up his own arse.

Creepymanonagoatfarm · 06/08/2022 17:48

A pillow over his head would be effective..
As would ending the relationship.
This won't get better op.
Indeed after today I predict things will get steadily worse if you allow them to.
Get rid op.
Tonight.

I don't know sometimes I'm cranky when I'm woken up mid sleep. I'm fine after a few mins but when you wake up disoriented particularly after a nap I can be a bit snappy. What did he do after snapping? That would be the clincher for me.

sunsetsandsandybeaches · 06/08/2022 17:53

I'm often grumpy if I'm woken up suddenly.

Is this normal behaviour for him?

CavernousScream · 06/08/2022 17:57

Hé had 12 hours sleep last night and now he’s exhausted and angry this afternoon? Is he ill?

RhubarbFairy · 06/08/2022 18:09

Does he shout at you like this regularly? This isn't okay.

fghj149 · 06/08/2022 18:15

That’s horrible. I’d sack him off.

This. What are your options now? How financially tied are you to this man?

Runaround50 · 06/08/2022 18:29

He's had 12 hours sleep and asleep again In the day?

Christinesewingbee23 · 06/08/2022 18:30

He's being an arse. No sympathy for him, and you shouldn't have either.

PerfumePonce93 · 06/08/2022 18:37

Are you dating my ex? 😆 Leave his miserable arse.

Littleraindrop15 · 06/08/2022 18:40

my husband is so loud when I'm asleep I get so annoyed when I get woken up I've shouted etc because it's really frustrating when it could be avoided and I'm tired and cranky.

ZeroFuchsGiven · 06/08/2022 18:43

Its a solid rule in my house, if I'm asleep do not wake me up, I will respond nastily, I cant help it!

Nowhereelsetogo90 · 06/08/2022 18:54

People will treat you the way to allow them to. Why would you let a grown man shout and swear at you? If this is a one-off, I’d wait until he’s fully awake and calmly explain how out of order it is and that you won’t accept it ever again. If he’s done it more than once, show him the door.

Merryoldgoat · 06/08/2022 18:55

He sounds horrible. Really horrible.

This is the only reaction you should have. You like being spoken to like that? If not, dump him. Don't allow someone to speak to you like this.

WaitingForWinter1 · 06/08/2022 18:56

You both had 12 hours sleep last night? That's about what a newborn baby needs! He was asleep again for hours during the day. He sounds like a lazy, boring, nasty fucker. I wouldn't be with someone like that

Afterfire · 06/08/2022 18:57

I hope you don’t have any children with him or around him. He sounds absolutely vile.

Leave him.

girlmom21 · 06/08/2022 18:58

Pack your stuff and leave. Or if it's your property pack his stuff and tell him to leave. He's a twat.
