Sad about him shouting

Hi so my boyfriend is currently napping and has been napping from 3 we were both laying in bed relaxing and he fell asleep. I got up to go to the loo and took my jumper off as it was hot.
He woke up and started raising his voice ‘ you always fucking wake me up’ ‘fucking faffing about with your clothes and chucking your phone down on the bed’ ‘Let me fucking sleep!!’ But the end of the sentence he was shouting.

Am I unreasonable to be upset about this? We had a full 12 hours last night so it’s not as if it was vital and I didn’t mean to disturb him. He often wakes me up at 5 am and goes to the loo and I’m never moody or annoyed by him.

I’ve come into the living room and am in tears. I feel a bit silly I just hate it when people swear and shout.

thanks x

That's just shocking. I would be out of there in a flash. Quietly pack your things then when he's out, run run run!

Hazelthecat · 06/08/2022 19:16

You could leave him or, and this is infinitely worse, you could stay with him and end up being stuck married to someone who shouts and swears at you like that. If you have dc together they'll grow up seeing that and thinking it's normal.

My ex used to swear at me when he was cross, I lost respect for him in the end. I began to think of him as a bit dim and a bit rough. Eventually left and divorced him.

Has he apologised? If not that tells you what you need to know.

No no new baby he says he tired from work x

If he's this nasty when he's tired from work, imagine how nasty he could get if something worse happens

billy1966 · 06/08/2022 19:29

If you are living with this horror, get out.

If you don't live with him, grab your stuff and leave.

He is absolutely awful.

MorrisZapp · 06/08/2022 19:38

Bin him, and mean it. He's horrible.

Notanotherwindow · 06/08/2022 19:45

Bin him off, you can do better. He's a grown adult, of course he can bloody help it!

Thesefeetaremadeforwalking · 06/08/2022 19:46

That's nasty OP.

Big red flag.

Time to cut your losses.

Sorry x

A man's sworn at you and left you in tears. Good partners don't do this. There are better men out there.

Regularsizedrudy · 06/08/2022 20:09

Why are you staying?

Purplehonesty2 · 07/08/2022 13:30

A good partner would have pulled you back in for a cuddle.

Not shouted.

Not on.
