Posting for traffic

ds who is amazing has just purchased an expensive coffee machine (beans, ground coffee the works, like a Starbucks machine).

it is her birthday this week (I was going to get her a dolce gusto but never mind), I’d like to get her something coffee related, hinging beans, cups, syrups etc but haven’t a clue when it comes to coffee as I don’t really drink it.

please would you spam the thread with your recommendations for all things coffee that you would be happy to get as a present. I’m thinking I may do a hamper if it’s lots of small things.

Monmouth coffee is pretty lux. You could get some beans.

Some posh coffee cups for different drinks, espresso, latte etc. Ours are from HK Living and we always get compliments.

A jar to store coffee beans properly - we have one from Airscape.

Every year for Christmas my mum buys my husband the little multipack of syrups from Costa which always go down well. I'm not sure if they sell them all year round. Also tk maxx sells lots of syrups for coffee.

Ontomatopea · 30/07/2022 18:16

Also tk maxx sells lots of syrups for coffee. aye they do! I always find that really weird.

FatAgainItsLettuceTime · 30/07/2022 18:17

A Contigo travel mug so she can make her own coffee and take it out with her?

BerthaBetty · 30/07/2022 18:20

Find a local coffee roasters and buy a subscription.

Noideaatall · 30/07/2022 18:53

Pact coffee have lots of coffee related gifts, and also do a subscription. Their coffee is really good.

aletterfromseneca · 30/07/2022 19:02

Does she have a grinder? De Longhi do a decent “entry” level one at under 40 quid and it’s fantastic. I’ve never felt the need to upgrade. Grinding your own beans makes a massive difference.

Otherwise you can support a local roaster and get a bean subscription for as many months as you are willing to pay. Usually you’d get a different bag each time they deliver.

Was just going to post the same!

FuckingHateRats · 30/07/2022 19:11

Does it have a milk frother for fancy lattes?

Subscription for nice beans

CatLadyDrinksGin · 30/07/2022 19:12

Decent coffee beans (assuming it’s a bean to cup machine). Grinder if not.

GiltEdges · 30/07/2022 19:15

We just got these and I love them, they’re so nice to drink out of too:

I have a rise coffee subscription. Two different types of coffee beans and a little extra thing (like a snack or drink). I get it every month but I think you can change the frequency.

Justrealised · 30/07/2022 19:16

Thanks all I really appreciate the help and ideas. Looks like i'll be popping into tkmaxx.

What is classed as decent/ good beans please?

AdoraBell · 30/07/2022 19:18

I was going to suggest a grinder. Does she have a preference for her coffee? I love coffee from Peru, my friend swears that Colombia produces the best beans. My DD likes coffee from the other side of Latin America.

Pact, as mentioned, do good coffee.

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/07/2022 19:19

Buy something arabican/organic.

saltwaterandsuncream · 30/07/2022 19:20

Waitrose Sumatra Mandheling beans are immense.

IKillHousePlants · 30/07/2022 19:22

Where is she based? See if you can find a local place that roast their own beans so she can get them freshly roasted?
I can recommend a couple if she is in mid Kent

Justrealised · 30/07/2022 19:23

@Gigglebert and @DevilsVineBlues what is a tamper please?

Scarling · 30/07/2022 19:25

Also recommend Pact. We get a monthly subscription. DH is a bit snobby when it comes to coffee and it's always up to his standards!

Bananaman123 · 30/07/2022 19:28

Amazon also have many coffee syrups, tkmaxx is good for the sugar free though

Thank you, we are quite far away from Kent but this is very kind of you to offer.
