To ask how to get rid of carpet beetles?

I have carpet beetles in my bedroom and I'm not sure how best to get rid of them. Can't really use pesticides because I have cats, though I do have a good household flea spray of that might work?

I’m sure the flea spray will work. I used it years ago and nothing crawled in my house for years after. I’ve actually picked up some myself because I moved a chair on the landing to clean and found something had taken chunks out of my carpet. We seem to have loads of moths and carpet beetles here because of the trees behind us. I always check my washing before bringing it in as I often see carpet beetles on my sheets on the line.

Yes, that's what I'm trying to do but I don't know how best to go about it.

Following because we also have them and have been fighting them for over a year now.

I had carper beetle larvae a few months ago. You need to:

• vacuum clean the entire room/s. This includes moving the bed as they love the bit between the bed and skirting, where human hairs can gather. The larvae will eat the human hairs.
• check any natural fibres (clothes/carpets) for damage. Wash any clothes from that room in a hot wash

I used bombs when I lived in a warmer country and small insects ( can’t remember the name) lived in the gaps in the cherry wood floors. Worked perfectly and all dogs and cats were totally unaffected.

Carpet beetle spray and a regular hoover. Pay close attention to the skirting boards and any nooks and crannies.

Spray, moth ball type things and strips. Vacuum, steam clean.
I hate those bastards.
