I don't think I've seen a test where the T is darker than the control?

This is my first time with covid and I'm an anxious AF. Symptoms aren't too bad but this little guy has freaked me out a bit 😳
It's day 4 since I tested positive and its getting darker each day.

Yanbu - nope, not seen that before
Yabu - yep, seen it all before

Just re read my op and it reads like I'm an anxious Aunt Flow. Just to clarify it should be anxious as fuck ha.

My first positive was just like this, extremely dark and strong - appearing before the liquid reached the control line. Despite the fact that the day before had been negative. I only had it mildly too, barely a cold, so the strength wasn't indicative of being very poorly.

SenseiOfDuty · 17/07/2022 09:37

Don't panic- me and my daughter both had this

My daughters, even on day 6 was like that

Sundayfootball19288228282 · 17/07/2022 09:38

Mine was the same darker line as the covid days went on. Totally normal

JuneOsborne · 17/07/2022 09:38

It just means you have covid. No deeper meaning.

That sounds snippier written down than I mean it to. Will a smiley face help? Smile

Sciurus83 · 17/07/2022 09:39

This is really normal

Hbh17 · 17/07/2022 09:41

Just stop testing - there is no need for it.

MsMarple · 17/07/2022 09:41

I know it’s not a competition… but my test line was MUCH darker than yours!

howtomoveforwards · 17/07/2022 09:41

Like a PP, I had a test line appear very strongly before it had reached the control line earlier this week. I was a little unwell but nothing major - I had it last year and it was a lot worse. I was testing negative by Friday. Try not to

ofwarren · 17/07/2022 09:44

Mine was the same, totally normal

LittleBearPad · 17/07/2022 09:45

Perfectly normal. Maybe give up testing for a couple of days if it’s worrying you this much!

mjf981 · 17/07/2022 09:46

My friend took a covid test before going on holiday. She was feeling fine, but it turned up positive. Took another, positive again. So called her friend who she was going on holiday with (the next day) and they ended up cancelled the whole thing.

It was only that evening she realized/found out that C mean Control. Not Covid. Poor thing was devastated! Cost a fortune to re book everything again.

Mummyloveswine76 · 17/07/2022 09:47

The darker the line the richer the juice

QuattroFromagio · 17/07/2022 09:48

Yes me too - really strong positive long before the control line ever showed up. Lasted like that about 5-6 days, and then the positive was similar to the control line a few more das, before finally getting fainter and then disappearing on about Day 13.

Driftingonawave · 17/07/2022 09:48

OK thanks guys 💐 phew!

I remember when we were TTC and this would have been the dream. What a weird turn of events the last 2 years have been!

I can't helping testing, I'm just doing one each morning to watch it hopefully disappear. Or engulf might be a better word for today!

How utterly ridiculous Shock

Tiani4 · 17/07/2022 09:51

I have to test daily and recently had covid.

My LFT tests were like this, strongly positive thick dark T line for 7 days and then a weaker line for 3 days.

Jackiebrambles · 17/07/2022 09:51

My dh and I have had covid twice each and every time our test line was loads darker than the control! Much darker than your pic. Don't worry, it's very normal.

Hbh17 · 17/07/2022 09:41

I still wouldn't want to pass it on. I breezed it but people close to me were very poorly. That said my cousin breezed her first bout and was awful on her second. So no, I won't stop testing.

Karmatime · 17/07/2022 09:56

Yep I got the comedy sharpie line too when I first tested positive. I took another test after 5 days and it was still there but not so dark or thick. Day 11 and just tested negative. Hope you feel better soon. I started feeling better after 5 days.

Ontomatopea · 17/07/2022 09:57

Yup very normal

ZarquonsSandals · 17/07/2022 10:00

Hbh17 · 17/07/2022 09:41

Just stop testing - there is no need for it.

So, just infect people?

CallOnMe · 17/07/2022 10:12

When I had symptoms I tested and it was a very faint line so I wasn’t sure if I actually had it or not.

It was the weekend anyway so I waited until Sunday to test again and when I did it was very thick and dark so there was no doubt I had it.

I think you get the virus before you test as I had an LFT come back negative then 2 days later positive.

CallOnMe · 17/07/2022 10:12

I hope you’re not feeling too rough.

ChagSameachDoreen · 17/07/2022 10:16

It's a dye stealer!
