They are moving in and taking their sweet time over it. Scattering bits all over the lawn. Niggling and bickering. He wants this bit in, she throws it out. Then they make up with total over the top public affection cooing and snogging loudly.

They're probably doing the PDAs on purpose because they can see you curtain-twitching

ThreeLittleDots · 10/07/2022 18:16

Haha, they are annoying neighbours then!

ChamomileLawn · 10/07/2022 18:18

I’ve greeted them to the neighbourhood with a tray of seed and a tub of water and will start knitting. H thinks I’m actually insane.

YABU for spying on your new neighbours. They are well within their rights to crap on your newly washed car/windows 😁

TimBoothseyes · 10/07/2022 18:55

Better than mine. She's a complete strumpet who is loving having 3 males fighting over her. Honestly it's like kicking out time at 'Spoons on a Saturday night here.

I'm sticking around for the posters whose phones won't download the photos 😁

CuriousCatfish · 10/07/2022 19:01

Mine like to sit on the fence giving my cat the side eye until he goes inside and they can swoop down and drink his water.

monicaandchandler · 10/07/2022 19:11

Better than my new neighbours! They really like my fence and spend their days sitting on it and arguing 🙄 from what I can gather is he always wants a bit and she wants nothing to do with him 😳 they are very vocal

Thinkingblonde · 10/07/2022 19:13

We’ve got squatters..House Martins, or maybe Swallows or Swifts, hard to tell as they are so fast flitting in and out. . They’ve set up a commune,, with a nest at the front of the house and one at the back, high up under the eaves but on the brickwork.
Ungrateful they are, leaving mud all over my spotless window Panes and sills.
There’s some kind of dirty protest going on, they’ve taken to shitting on my paths and flowers…shit parents too, they evicted a couple of their offsprings last week.
they chucked them out without a feather to their name.

CelluliteAndSparkles · 10/07/2022 19:14

I see what you mean about PDAs. I can clearly see his packer.

And those that just read the opening post and then comment 😊

Pigeon mating is the bane of my life at the moment (DF says they are ring tailed doves = look like bloody pigeons)

BlueStarfish · 10/07/2022 19:16

Young ones have no manners nowadays. I blame it on the parents.

Sneezesthrice · 10/07/2022 19:29

We’ve just ended up with a homeless couple squatting outside DD4s room after the CFs down the end entirely demolished theirs and many other residents long term homes.

They keep shitting all over my deck. A few kids have arrived recently too 😂

mosesb · 12/07/2022 08:12

YABU have you never lived with seagulls?

00100001 · 12/07/2022 08:31

Cheeky fuckers, report them to the Police on 111 and select option 2, they'll ask "what is the call for?" Reply "coo-coooooooo"

They'll be there in minutes.

Yes, your attention wanders for one second and they are on your shoulder practically, knicking your lunch!

ThisBloodyWeatherIsKillingMe · 12/07/2022 08:47

Exhibitionists! It's rather cute though

tomatopsste · 12/07/2022 08:57

Are they renting or buying? The landlord may be interested if they're renting, but if they're buying well you can't do anything.

Not without ruffling some feathers Grin

Daleksatemyshed · 12/07/2022 08:58

@mosesb and stealing the catfood if you leave the back door open and shouting all day. Then it makes baby noises and tries to win be over. Bloody Cocklodger 🤣

velvetvixen · 12/07/2022 08:58

Victoria looks feisty!

Onlyforcake · 12/07/2022 09:03

This reminded me when we moved into our new house years ago our first visitor was a very young pigeon. Just hopped on in. Years have gone by and we still haven't learned that an open door means young creatures (birds, cats, humans) will just wander straight in. My advice, keep the doors shut!

onmywayamarillo · 12/07/2022 09:18

Same here! Ours have made a very shoddy nest in our neighbours wall in the climber. Takes her an age to get in and out of it a lot of flapping about and cooing at 4.30am

The magpies will have a field day when they find it!
