A bikini on holiday?

I braved it last time but it was 3 years ago and I'm a stone up since then

I remember being way cooler (as in temperature, I'm 44 and way past being cool cool 😎 )

Yea I do. I’m a size 18-20 and I always think my body looks much better with a bit of a tan. So I get it out whenever I get the chance! I wear big bikini pants and a supportive top, or sometimes a tankini top and just pull it up to expose the belly for sunbathing.

I was converted on holiday one year when I saw a gorgeous young woman next to me at the pool looking all self conscious as she took off her clothes to expose a model perfect body. I figured if even she felt uncomfortable there was no hope for me, so what the fuck. May as well just enjoy the feel of the sun on my body, it’s not my job to provide a nice view for everyone else around the pool. None of the men give a shit about getting their beer belly out.

Nah, one piece all the way for me... its not so much the size of my tummy its the horrible stretch marks i have from pregnancy/being generally overweight that im conscious about and prefer to hide...

But i do always like to see other plus size ladies rocking bikinis and giving zeros fucks

I have seen some gorgeous plus size women in bikinis but younger than me, no stretch marks, no acne marks. They don’t seem to have the same unruly rolls of skin I do! They have like smooth skin! Young skin!

Not plus sized myself but wear what makes you look good! I'm size 10 but have a short torso and am still recovering from baby no. 3 six months ago so I think a one piece looks better on my body and I feel more glam. I'm also horribly vain and avoid the sun for fear of undoing all the money I spend on Botox.

Have seen plus sized ladies at the pool looking amazing in bikinis though. It's why I clicked on this, I thought of one in particular today who looked great in a red one with matching red lipstick whilst I sat there with eye bags breastfeeding DD in my Primark one piece. Just wear what the fuck you like. Honestly, no one cares.

Wear something that flatters your shape, and makes you feel good and most of all remember nobody else is paying any attention to you as they are all worrying about how they look ...and you will never see any of those people again so who cares what they think anyway! 😀

Wear what you like. I am in my 60s now so no bikini. I wear tankini's now.

Yep! Makes it easier to breastfeed my baby and my stomach gets a bit of a tan too. Life is short - wear whatever you want and fuck thinking if it’s ‘flattering’ or not

I'm 44 and size 16. I wear a tankini and pull the top up to tan my tummy. I don't like walking around with my tummy out.

Damn right! I'm a 16/18 at the mo, but even when I was a 24 I still wore bikinis/shorts/crops. If you're comfortable, wear it!

I’m a size 14 to 16 and 49 and I don’t go in the pool as I’m more of a sunbather, lounging around the pool so I love kaftans and long maxi beach dresses .
I have so many of them and they all look great and were a great price .

I got so many from Boohoo and Shein and Dorothy Perkins and they all look great on me well I feel great in them and that’s what matters.
I also buy wedges as they are comfy and make you look taller so longer and leaner and Dorothy Perkins has lots at the moment, I bought a lovely black pair.

A lot of plus sized women look fantastic in a bikini but I'm not one of them.

Yep. This top (it's reversible) but with high waist black bikini bottoms as the matching ones are too low for me

I've just bought a new high waisted bikini. I have one in a smaller size and it looks really good on me for some unknown reason. Really flattering. I'm a 16/18 and have a narrow but high up waist (I suit 50s style dresses that gather under the bust and flow out as this is where my natural waist sits). I've attached a pic of it so you can see it really is high waisted, but gives a glimpse of flesh in the right area for me.
The smaller size I have still fits me on the bottom (really stretchy and comfy) despite being 3 dress sizes bigger! But the top is a little snug on the breast area 😬. Hence ordering the bigger size.
I'm past caring what others think of me, as long as I feel good in what I wear. Screw being perfect and all that! I wear what makes me happy!
