It's so weird. That toddler is going to be harmed by this upbringing.

Oh come on, it’s made-up.

DenholmElliot1 · 03/07/2022 10:07

Think about it - she's on benefits. Of course she's not paying out for those things, benefits don't stretch to that!

HerRoyalHappiness · 03/07/2022 10:09

Fuck off. Benefits won't cover anywhere near that much. I'm a single mum on benefits. So she's doing it with the dad's money. Which fair enough, it's money for the kid but still fucking ridiculous. What happens when he lobs his dummy out of the pram?

Mumdiva99 · 03/07/2022 10:10

Mum obviously has an ex with some cash, makes more money selling stories to trashy papers.....I wouldn't worry about it.

CuriousMama · 03/07/2022 10:12

She'll be in debt so isn't really paying is she? Says she's fallen out with friends who think she spends too much.

This bit is the most worrying part...

“I always ask him if he gets a girlfriend when he’s older and she doesn’t like me if he’ll kick her out and he says yes – when he finally gets married his wife is going to hate me.

“His dad always says that when he turns 18 he’ll get a girlfriend and move out but I say no, we’ll have bunk beds when he’s too old to share a bed with me.

PuckeredArseFace · 03/07/2022 10:52

What a plonker🙄

Stellaroses · 03/07/2022 10:53

I agree OP. She is ill.

KevinTheKoala · 03/07/2022 10:55

I'm far more concerned about the emotional incest than the (ridiculous) amount of money she's spending. Comments about future girlfriends and whether he'll kick them out when he's still using a dummy and watching Peppa pig is just a bit ick! It's gross at any age but that just makes my skin crawl.

She's not teaching him good habits and I doubt he'll grow up respecting women if his own mother is going to sleep on a mattress on the floor in order to buy him a special tractor bed - surely a standard toddler bed (or even a single bed that will last) and second hand bed frame would have been fine too 🙄. Crying for 3 days over a lost dummy too - that was bound to happen toddlers don't have any concept of money and dummys get thrown and dropped all the time! Spending £1000 on one is just mind boggling to me.

The fact that she is on benefits is neither here or there when she's getting the money from her ex - clearly he is wealthy himself. I'd love to be able to spend a little more on my children but even if I could afford it, I personally can't understand the desire for expensive designer things that will get stained, grown out of and not appreciated as much as the paw patrol flashing trainers you can for an 8th of the price when they are toddlers.

It's all the hormones in the golden syrup.

abigailsnan · 03/07/2022 11:04

I would worry more about her than the little boy.
What will she do when he goes to school will she stay in the classroom all day with him ?
How could she afford a nanny ?
We all love to spoil our little ones but hey there is a limit she is off her trolley.

Rainbowdrops2021 · 03/07/2022 11:10

Really not how I would personally want to raise my child but it seems like she adores him and he’s very well cared for. The most concerning thing is what she says about future girlfriends but in all honesty I’ve seen posts on here by parents who are far more likely to cause their child emotional damage than she is.

He's 12 months old . Of course he said that , probably when he was taking a break from running his multi million ££ business.
Maybe this woman's ex should pay for some quality psychiatric treatment rather than all this shite

Misstes · 03/07/2022 11:45

Give it a year or two, when he learns to say no and throwing tantrums. She will soon be buying horrific light up paw patrol trainer like the rest of us!

Aquilegia23 · 03/07/2022 11:46

“I always ask him if he gets a girlfriend when he’s older and she doesn’t like me if he’ll kick her out and he says yes – when he finally gets married his wife is going to hate me

The child is 1. This conversation can't have taken place.

ColourfulOnesie · 03/07/2022 11:53

If she really had that much money to spend her house would be much nicer and ‘Instagrammy’ probably all grey and white with Crystal doorknobs not a tractor bed and that tacky wallpaper in his room, also the cheap plastic toys in the garden would be nice wooden ones
I’m guessing the dummies and clothes are fakes
God knows why she’s in the paper though

I also wonder how much comfort a baby could get from a solid gold dummy 🤔

Somethingsnappy · 03/07/2022 11:58

The woman thinks people will admire her. All the talk of going 'without' in Primark shoes so her son can have 'what he asks for'. Urgh.

SnowyPetals · 03/07/2022 11:58

The "conversations" are clearly made up. No one year old can hold that sort of discourse. And why did she have a nanny if she is a SAHM? I don't buy the sacking of this nanny....

Neverendingdust · 03/07/2022 12:02

He has metal allergies and can only wear solid gold. Yet his £900 Versace chain is 100% metal/ costume jewellery and those aren’t diamonds they’re crystals. Bless 🤭

She’s probably got her This Morning outfit picked out already.

AllHailKingLouis · 03/07/2022 12:04

Is this the OP from the designer baby wear thread 😂

TheFutureIs · 03/07/2022 12:09

All I can think of is won't he be terribly sticky after a honey bath?!
