To think that Burger King is dirty?

Out of all the fast food chains every time I go into Burger King it seems to be filthy! Often see wrappers on the floor, BBQ sauce smeared all over the tables, and the grouting etc stuff is always black instead of white like it should be. Also the staff all seem to be uni drop outs and don’t care about the job. McDonald’s on the other hand is the exact opposite. Always clean, friendly staff, just get a really nice vibe compared to Burger King!

I think Ive only been in a burger king once or twice, not out of choice and yes I agree.

Zulakhyka · 25/06/2022 22:16

I take the kids there once a week as a treat and I always have to clean the tables before we sit down and eat which seems a bit crazy! They need to hire the staff to do it really

They don't have dedicated dining area staff which means it doesn't get cleaned as much as it should. McDonald's has two types of dining area staff so customers get more interaction and stuff gets cleaned much more regularly. McDonald's staff are expected to check the loos at least every fifteen minutes and to clean/wipe tables between customers.

EntertainingandFactual · 25/06/2022 22:20

Depends which one you visit surely?
The one nearest to me is fine.
On the other hand, KFC nearby is the most disgusting place I have ever set foot in! Never again!

worraliberty · 25/06/2022 22:21

My local one is pretty spotless but the milkshake machine is always out of order.

Well maybe they should because it’s disgusting going to eat somewhere dirty! Also completely agree with McDonald’s checking their toilets there’s nothing worse than a filthy public toilet

Brighton clock tower BK is horrendous, very intimidating to eat in there, the loos are locked due to people using them for drug use so you have to use a code from your receipt and go past security to enter the filthy toilets.
I’ll never make the mistake of grabbing a meal with my child in there again.

It’s the same for us. I’m not a fan of Burger King’s food anymore, I think it’s quite dated and boring but the KFC near us is absolutely grim 🤢.

It sounds grim. Why do you keep going back?

Why do you keep going if it's so disgusting? It's hardly a treat to sit somewhere filthy.

bellamountain · 25/06/2022 22:43

Are they as dirty as many high street coffee chains? Costa is woeful a lot of the time. A McDonald's coffee in a clean restaurant is far superior.

I'm going to guess it's because the kids like the food

liftitlikeitshot · 25/06/2022 22:47

McDonald's is definitely the cleanest. BK yes is dirty to be honest, most of the ones I've been in. However, for some reason I feel like KFC is the worst. It's not like I eat inside there a lot either so I'm not talking about the actual restaurant being dirty, more the staff. If I go through the drive thru, I look at the staff and they just don't look like the kind of bunch that would wash their hands after the toilet.

YANBU, I had one a few years back and it was awful! Haven't been back since.

WildThing87 · 25/06/2022 22:52

The BKs in my city are always messy, although in saying that I've not been in one in years but there were 2 and one has now shut down so I'm guessing it wasn't doing too well. McDonalds would be first preference, they always have quite a lot of staff roaming around. KFC is maybe somewhere in the middle, have had good and bad experiences.

Do drive thru and eat it at home OP. or take it out and walk to a nice bench or something and eat it there. You don't HAVE to eat in.

Duettino · 25/06/2022 22:55

I can't say I've ever noticed but as a huge fan, I'm confident I'd lick dirt if it meant I could get my hands on a chicken royale 🤤

The first rule of Burger King is you never eat in there, take out only!

Sherrystrull · 25/06/2022 22:57

The one near us is horrid. The last time we went there was a used condom under a table, the heating was broken (it was December) and most of the drinks were unavailable. The manager was yelling at a very scared looking woman behind the till and the whole place was full of rowdy teenagers. We swore never to go back.

I agree that McDonald's is so very different.

BeautifulWar · 25/06/2022 22:57

No, my local one is always clean and well maintained. Staff are mainly young, polite and helpful.

There's a Burger King on the way to Cleethorpes, just.outside Grimsby. It's really tatty and old inside. It's a shame because I like a treat after a beach day, we still go, but we get drive through these days.
