All Mumsnetters are warmly invited to post here to remember Noah and in support of Fiona and Niamh. The 3 images I have attached are from his mummy Fiona Donohoe and his auntie Niamh Donohoe.

Some Mumsnetters will have seen my threads and those of other Mumsnetters about beautiful Belfast child Noah Donohoe. At 6.11pm today, it will be 2 years since Noah was last seen alive. It was the last ever day that Noah and his mummy Fiona could exchange a hug and say 'I love you'. Then Noah cycled off to meet his schoolfriends to work on his Duke of Edinburgh Award, but he never arrived. After Noah had been missing for 6 days, his naked body was retrieved from a storm drain.

Noah's mummy Fiona and auntie Niamh are still having to fight very hard for the truth about his death and for justice for Noah. If you haven't already signed, a link to Fiona's petition, so far with 307,442 signatures, can easily be found in the OP of this thread here:

It’s shameful that this investigation has to be crowdfunded, but inspiring that so many people are supporting it. I hope the results can bring some peace to Noah’s family.

Right from the start, the investigations of the police and coroner have brought more questions than answers. It is now more than three years on from Noah's disappearance and death. An independent investigation is sorely needed.

"Last Ten Days!
We are nearly at £125,000. It is hard to imagine achieving this - you simply have driven this by supporting, donating and by sharing this campaign with your friends and loved ones. I think all of us are all connected to Noah's case in a special way and unique manner and this is driving us.
I want to make a special mention to those who have donated twice and in some cases three times. To you all - we are honoured and humbled by these donations and are fuelled by your faith in us.
I am confident we will reach and exceed our target. As noted at the start of our campaign anything over £150,000 will be spent on specialist storm-drain reconstructions and anything received beyond our needs will be donated to children's charities in Northern Ireland including the Noah Donohoe Foundation. You are all ensuring that we can finish our investigation and the film of our investigation after more than two and a half years work. Let's keep going until 3pm on Saturday August 5th when this crowdfunding appeal will come to a conclusion. We will be having a supporters fund raising dinner in the Europa Hotel in October and the details of that I hope we can announce next week. Every milestone we hit - we are breaking records - this is the most successful crowdfunding appeal for an investigative documentary on the platform - it is stunning - what is remarkable is that in a mirror image of one's relationship with a broadcaster as a licence fee payer - in this case - you directly are paying for a documentary and an investigation you want - one that you are making happen and on a subject dear to your heart. Earlier today, we reached the target of £150,000 and the current figure tonight is an incredible £152,882!!! 💙

Well done and a huge thank you to all Mumsnetters who have supported this appeal with donations, messages and/or shares. It is sincerely appreciated, not just by Donal MacIntyre and the entire investigative team, but by Noah's mummy Fiona and Noah's family and friends.

With 6 days still to go on the Crowdfunder website, Donal has decided to set a stretch target of £250,000. This is what he says about why:
"We will use any extra funding to pursue unexplored lines of inquiry, to draw upon additional experts, and to commission further forensic reports on relevant items. These funds can also be used to complete a reconstruction of Noah's movements and to commission the specialist filming and reconstruction of a storm drain of similar proportions to that in which Noah was found. This will allow us to test a number of theories about how he entered the drain and traversed over 900m of dark and difficult terrain. Following this, we will use any further additional funds to raise the production values of the film and to ready it for international film festivals and broadcasts in the UK and Ireland."

"We're still collecting donations. On the 5th August 2023 we'd raised £167,158 in 49 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
People still donating but we made it and you did It!
We did it - Nearly 112% of our target. You have all contributed to a tremendous campaign - a community endeavour and one which has delivered for this cause. "We are still receiving donations!
The Crowdfunding organisation has continued to receive donations to the campaign for our stretch target because from their stats they can see that people are still visiting the page and are still keen to donate. You will know that the initial sum of £150k was to guarantee the completion of the film and the investigation. This has now been reached. Obviously, any extra funds will make it better and easier to hire experts and to do a range of tests and reconstructions that the PSNI have not done and the Coroner has not directed done. We feel these are important to include or exclude lines of inquiry. Thank you for continuing to believe in us. After this campaign on this site is over we'll continue to raise additional funds with fundraising dinners and other events and we will keep you posted. Details about the rewards and the timings will be released in due course but obviously centre around the completion of the project and its release after the inquest.

Noah Donohoe: Man who 'hounded' schoolboy's mother sentenced - BBC News

This report, quite rightly, doesn't detail the worst of it and I won't detail it here. He has not been the only troll, to lesser or similar degrees, even on here, as we know. He lived very close to where Noah disappeared and was found.

Very sad. The world is still watching to see what comes of this. The silence is deafening.

Simon Byrne - PSNI Chief Constable - has resigned. It's a pity he didn't resign or wasn't sacked over the handling of young Noah Donohoe's disappearance and death, but I'm glad Byrne has gone at least and at last. He's not the only one who should resign or be sacked over the handling of Noah's case, of course, but one down and all that. 💙
