To think my eyebrows looks atrocious?

seekingsomethingg · 19/06/2022 23:26

I had them laminated and she put tint on the bottom section, the rest is just my natural colour.

They look like huge snails with a massive block colour right?

All I want is slim eyebrows but every beautician is obsessed with keeping my brows huge.

They look a little dark but overall shape looks OK. Ita hard to tell if they suit you without seeing your full face.

sammylady37 · 19/06/2022 23:43

That’s not great, tbh. I have learned the hard way not to let anyone at my brows. As you say, beauticians all go for the huge look. The last time, I looked like someone had taken a black marker and drawn on me! I tint them myself at home now, much better result. And cheaper!

Zerrin13 · 19/06/2022 23:46

A good beautician wouldn't be producing such work. Keep away from her!

Popsicle33 · 19/06/2022 23:48

They're horrendous sorry. Messy, untidy and far too dark

RhiRhi1996 · 19/06/2022 23:51

Its hard to say without seeing how they suit your face. Some women suit messier/thicker brows.

However, strictly speaking just looking at the brow, it isn't the best. Could do with tidying up and looks too dark.

That’s the laminated look to be messy at the top - they are waxed underneath.

Tbf that’s 90% my natural colour (apart from the tint on the underline) so sadly unless I bleach them that’s natural.

I just don’t know why I can’t find anyone to give me the look I want. People comment how amazing my brows are and I think - are you blind?!?

Uploading a different photo. They look BAD still but maybe better then original photo.

It’s a bit OTT

can you not just use a brush and some gell?

TabithaTittlemouse · 20/06/2022 00:00

In the second photo they look okay. The colour isn’t too dark for your colouring and they are a nice shape.

I’m not a fan of slugs but I don’t think yours are.

Aquamarine1029 · 20/06/2022 00:00

They might need some tweaking, but you don't want "thin" eyebrows. They are so ageing.

FlissyPaps · 20/06/2022 00:01

In the newest photo they don’t look bad.

It can be a shock at first when we have something different done to our eyebrows, as they frame the face.

Did you tell the beautician you were unhappy with them before you left? Did you want a tidy up/wax?

MyrtlethePurpleTurtle · 20/06/2022 00:01

I think they look fine Blush

Notatallanamechange · 20/06/2022 00:01

Laminated brows doesn’t mean ‘messy’. Unless I’ve misunderstood what you meant there.

I mean if you want to be so nit picky, it’s just my opinion that the look can look in some instances messy because the hair is brushed upwards creating a look where a trim would be necessary.

But it’s dependent on your natural brow so they don’t all look like that.

Notatallanamechange · 20/06/2022 00:13

It’s not nit picking to ask whether I’ve misunderstood because your description is wrong.

They are far overdone for laminate.

Daydreamsinsantafe · 20/06/2022 00:16

They look very good actually. You couldn’t go thinner without plucking hairs from all the way across underneath which would leave you with a constant shadow of stubble.

People are telling you they look good because they do. Well shaped dense brows are an attribute not a flaw.

A one size fits all approach to brows is very 2001. This shape must suit you because it’s your own. Plucking them into oblivion will be a disaster in the end.

Catlover77 · 20/06/2022 00:23

The shape is fine and looks like it suits your face. The top is not neat and that is not a good representation of laminate brows

peaceinourtime · 20/06/2022 00:24

My description isn’t wrong. To me lamination can look messy: people can describe things differently.

No idea what far overdone for laminate means - because they are laminated.

@Popsicle33 is right, laminated doesn’t mean messy at all 🤨 they don’t look good tbf, very messy and too thick.

TulipsGarden · 20/06/2022 00:31

They look fine, maybe a bit dark but that will fade.

I do wonder if lamination is not what you want. If you have long, thick brow hairs lamination will emphasise that. Have you tried threading? It gives a lovely clean line and a good threader will shape to your face, not to a template (sisters not twins). There are a few fluffy hairs to the right of your face that I wouldn't be happy with being left after threading.

When I say thin I don’t mean pluck until theres nothing left. I mean scale down the size.

I hate the big brow look. It really isn’t anything to do with one brow fits all. Mine just always look untidy even when I use gel, and most beauticians are obsessed with that look.

I don’t know, I’m so fed up but thanks for the compliment 🙂

I'm baffled why you went for lamination if you like 'slim brows'. The whole point of lamination is for your brows to look fuller. So YABU.

Without boring you into a deep sleep, I have one eyebrow with a natural arch and one with a smooth curve.

I’ve had threading done multiple times but with the missing arch I felt my eyebrows didn’t match (weren’t Eden cousins)

I tried lamination as I thought the brows could be shaped into an arch but still look thinner if more hair was removed underneath - hope that makes sense.
