I want nachos

SunscreenCentral · 17/06/2022 20:21

Well done. Don't undo your good work. Have a nice shower, taste some salt. Brush your teeth!

TypicallyTopically · 17/06/2022 20:21

Should I have one cheat then back on it?!?

Chinese, please.
No, pizza
or maybe a hot dog
or fish and chips...

I'm hungry

seaUrchinOne · 17/06/2022 20:23

No don't cheat, I did this now I'm back to square one. Feeling bloated, you'll regret it after.

blebbleb · 17/06/2022 20:23

I'm day 3 of low carb. Just made a lovely chicken tikka curry with cauliflower rice. Really helped with my cravings! You can keep going!

hopefulsunshine11 · 17/06/2022 20:24

I'd say you only live once so get the burger and chips and enjoy but I've also been on the side of upset when I gain what I've lost and feel terrible. It really depends if you have a long goal of losing a lot of weight etc and it's impacting your mental and physical health! If not, go for it and just make sure next weekend you eat clean and green!

Ponderingwindow · 17/06/2022 20:27

my experience is that giving in to my cravings in reasonable portion sizes helps me lose weight faster. Part of it is being sure I get exactly what I’m craving.

For me, that might mean the burger with no bun and just a few or even no chips. or maybe I realize all I really want are chips and just have that.

WishILivedInThrushGreen · 17/06/2022 20:30

You're craving.

Cave in or drink water.

lugeforlife · 17/06/2022 20:31

Can you get a lower carb takeaway? Indian with a main and a veggie side? My favourite is tandoori king prawn and saag.

PurpleButterflyWings · 17/06/2022 20:33

That's the problem when you deprive yourself of all the things you enjoy. You crave it more. Maybe get some low fat spicy flavoured crisps?

TypicallyTopically · 17/06/2022 20:33

Burger with no bun and chips?

TokenGinger · 17/06/2022 20:35

I must admit, I find when I'm sticking to a healthy eating plan, I tend to stick for it for longer if I allow myself a meal I've been craving on weigh in day. I think because I get it out of my system, it allows me to focus. Also, it keeps me going all week knowing that I'll have lovely meal or dessert so enjoy at the end of the week.

Holly60 · 17/06/2022 20:35

Plan to have it tomorrow if you still want it. Then tomorrow if you can, put it off until the next day. Never say you can't have it, say you'll have it tomorrow

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 17/06/2022 20:35

Not worth it OP, you’re doing amazing. Spend the money on something more beneficial to you

Burger with no bun and chips?

But what's the point? That won't fill your craving!

Stick to your plan.
Unless you're dieting for no reason and you're a normal weight that is!

clippety clop · 17/06/2022 20:37

Your head wants it but your tummy doesn't. That's what I keep telling myself and it's working!

Bluebellsand · 17/06/2022 20:38

Eat an egg snack and one large cup of hot water.

Artwodeetoo · 17/06/2022 20:39

Nah it'll be nice at the time but you'll feel like crap after.

clare8allthepies · 17/06/2022 20:40

How low carb have you been this week? If you've been really low then the 4lb will be your water and glycogen going (which you need to do before you get into the fat burning zone) if you have a massive burger and chips it will all be replenished and you'll have to start all over again.

PS I know how you feel, I would kill for a nice cold glass of wine right now! 🤣

kittenkipping · 17/06/2022 20:42

I wouldn't order it. You've done brilliantly. Well done

RewildingAmbridge · 17/06/2022 20:42

What about chicken shish and salad no or just a small bit of pitta?

TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo · 17/06/2022 20:44

Do you like spice?

My local Indian does grilled tandoori chicken and lamb chops and they are delicious and a real treat. I'm diabetic so also need to keep carbs and fat low and protein high.

MrDaddybear · 17/06/2022 20:51

If you're fat as fuck and in danger of needing the firemen to remove the windows to get you out the house then no, starve your self. If you're only a bit chubby, stuff your guts.

CallOnMe · 17/06/2022 21:05

Are you trying to get into ketosis?
If so then you can’t cheat else you’ll have to start all over again as it takes a while for your body to get into ketosis.
I stopped doing it for this very reason.

I love a burger and my go to when I’m being careful of the carbs is a salad with a burger, sauce and cheese but without the bun (and of course not too much cheese or sauce). The salad fills you up but you have the taste of the burger so you’re satisfied.
Im not a massive fan of chips though so I’m not sure how to get around them.

Ive found the only successful way I’ve kept weight off was the allowing myself treat food.
Id have less calories during the week and then have a cheat meal once a week.
If you’re craving it and you want it then have it - but make sure you eat healthy again tomorrow.
