Our dd3 who is 16 and has always been anxious and has really really struggled with anxiety ( counselling, school avoidance etc) told me yesterday that she's really happy and looking forward to 6 th form and wants to push herself over the summer with a job at dh work.
We're so happy and proud to hear that from a girl who's been scared of the world for a long time !
That's our happy news and I still can't believe I heard it !

She’s a champion pooer and allergic to sleep

My DD, who has selective mutism (a severe anxiety disorder) got a 1st, 2nd, and a 3rd place in sports day today. She also got a dead last in the sprint but she did a captain Jack sparrow run. Everyone laughed. She's come on so much recently, from the silent, crying little girl who would hide behind my legs, to this amazing boisterous ball of energy. I'm so incredibly proud of her.

Going on a plane tomorrow for first time in 4 years 😬

Ive just had my quarterly diabetes blood test back; it's half the level it was last time, and almost in 'normal' range - for the first time in years.

I got wordle on my first attempt yesterday. My life has peaked

I have finally handed in my notice after 13 years in the same job, and I’m moving back home with my parents.

The last part is actually good news, because my living situation for the last 3 years hasn’t been particularly good for my mental health.

Oh, and I start my new job in a couple of weeks!

These are some great happy stories 😊

Today on my afternoon walk spotted four new young families- one of six, one of four, one of three and one of two. An Egyptian goose family and three separate moorhen families.

Dh and I both have new jobs. After applying for tons and always losing out to a younger candidate and feeling like throwing the towel in, I unexpectedly got my absolute dream job! Dh had had an undeserved really tough time at his previous workplace and is so much more relaxed at his new job. Feels like the beginning of a new era for us!

I've nothing to add, my day has been mundane but it makes me happy, too, to hear all the lovely news..

These are all so great and have made me smile
