To not expect MN to crash every night?

Love a scroll through Mumsnet just before I go to bed.

Every evening without fail it crashes from about 9.30pm onwards (currently intermittent hence me trying to post).

I just don’t know another site that crashes like this. Drives me mad!

P.S yes I know I am probably being unreasonable for complaining about this and for posting on AIBU but it is bugging me the longer it goes on.

Come and join us on Site Stuff. There are several threads there lamenting the same, and waiting to hear what the problem is!

I've just noticed this tonight over the last ten minutes or so.
Along with a message that it was just checking my browser when I changed the page, which I've never had before.

I can't get the app to work either tonight.
Everything has gone to pot since the supposed upgrade.

The checking browser thing seemed to be an anti-DDOS attack thing, and I think the reason MN crashes is because it gets a lot of those attacks. Possibly from those who see MN as a TERF incubator?

Every night. This evening I have a revolving door error screens to keep things interesting. And then when it does work it makes Brian the snail look like Usain Bolt.

I admit I'm not the world's most patient person but for goodness sake.

Since the upgrade, I have probably been able to load mumsnet maybe 10 times on my iPhone 12. I used to scroll several times a day but I’ve given up now. I just intermittently check every few days. I really think they need to admit the new website isn’t working and revert back.

Glad it’s not just me-so frustrating! If it continues I’ll have to find something worthwhile to do with my time instead 😬

I don't know any other site that has as many IT issues as Mumsnet.

So retro. Feels like being back in 1998.

YANBU @Sparkles8912 MN has gone to shit since the 'upgrade.' LOL 'upgrade!!!' Should that not improve a website??? This 'upgrade' has fucked it up! As you say, it crashes every day now.

I think HQ pop in regularly because it’s where to go to report problems with the site, so it’s worth noting your issues there.

It has been absolutely awful since the "upgrade".

I've been getting heaps of stuff done in the evenings lately due to Mumsnet being so crap - can't be arsed waiting for it so just give up and organise shit or tidy up!

Pistonheads never has these problems, could one of the site admins ask over there how they manage so much better?

I'm not in the UK, so it's every morning for me. Really, really irritating.

Mumsnet is under DDOS attack by activists, what do you suggest they do?
