To not expect MN to crash every night?

Love a scroll through Mumsnet just before I go to bed.

Every evening without fail it crashes from about 9.30pm onwards (currently intermittent hence me trying to post).

I just don’t know another site that crashes like this. Drives me mad!

P.S yes I know I am probably being unreasonable for complaining about this and for posting on AIBU but it is bugging me the longer it goes on.

Mumsnet is under DDOS attack by activists, what do you suggest they do?

What does any other website do?

FiveHoursAleep · 13/06/2022 23:21

YA definitely NBU! It is driving me crazy tonight!!! Just trying to post this has taken nearly 10 minutes because it keeps crashing. The IT has gone tits up recently 👿😡

They use the same comoany mumsnet is using to fend off the attacks.

When you get directed to the 'Ddos'page that is a service mumsnet pays for to fend off ddos attacks

Someone knows a better service or method of fending off ddos attacks then im sure mumsnet would welcome the suggestion but as it stands they are paying for what is available

Its unsuprising really that mumsnet comes under attack so often, historically women getting together and talking to each other has rarely been tolerated by society for long, ddos attacks are just the modern day version of this

Fairly irritated by it myself, but im more irritated by the pathetic little boys and men getting all excited at the chance of stopping women chatting

True, can't have women with opinions or organising, and chatting should be restricted to prams and nappies as we were told by a prominent TW.

They are such a pathetic little band of misogynistic wankers.

Women under attack as always. For speaking, for having opinions, for saying no.
these guys are techies so know exactly what to do…
