Fucking fuckers who have gazumped us on our house purchase today despite knowing an offer had been accepted and the stupid shameless sellers for accepting their offer despite already accepting ours.

I'm fucking furious!

Tell me Karma will get the them all.

Happaned to us years ago, we got friends to better their offer and then pull out down the line, leaving the sellers in a mess. Now that's Karma! Obviously it was beofre these days where lots of questions are asked of those making offers, I think it would be expensive to do these days.

Well now the buyer has an untrustworthy seller and seller has an immoral buyer. Let karma do it's thing!

I'm so sorry OP I know what it feels like, it happened to us last year. I was absolutely heartbroken. It's such a horrible thing to do. However we found another house l, which we are now in and I think moving to the other one would actually have been a mistake, although if you'd told me that at the time I wouldn't have believed you.

I'm hoping you're both right but sadly there seems to be hardly anything new coming to market recently around here which makes me lose hope it's ever going to happen.

We were gazumped. My DH was devastated. I had an uneasy feeling about the house the whole time so I was secretly relieved.

We didn't know the area (even the county) we were buying in that well that time.

It took a few months but we found a much nicer house, cheaper (because the sellers had, had their chain collapse and were looking for a quick sale), in a much nicer area.

Everyone has a "I was gazumped but I'm so glad that happened' story.

You will too when the house you go on to buy is so much better. You won't need karma, you'll just feel bad for the people who bought that rubbish house!

Did it happen very shortly after your offer was accepted, or was it weeks/months in? (Regardless, it is very upsetting!)
