Fucking fuckers who have gazumped us on our house purchase today despite knowing an offer had been accepted and the stupid shameless sellers for accepting their offer despite already accepting ours.

I'm fucking furious!

Tell me Karma will get the them all. SadSad

Did it happen very shortly after your offer was accepted, or was it weeks/months in? (Regardless, it is very upsetting!)

Onwards and upwards! Here's to your future, better house

It wasn't a huge amount of time but as you say that doesn't lessen the blow of finding out what you thought was yours is no longer yours. Sad

I will keep the faith that something else will turn up but that's hard when you finally thought you'd found the one.

We were gazumped years ago, by a woman who worked for the estate agent selling the house!! We had so much on at the time, we didn't kick up enough of a fuss about it, but as we vaguely knew all parties involved, including the sellers, we (I) have made known my disappointment and disdain to them and anyone who knows them, for nearly 2 decades now. 😄

That should have been a sacking offence.

You sound like my kind of person. I never felt like I was the kind of person to hold a grudge but stuff like this makes me totally understand why some people have vendettas.

Now I know this really should not have made me laugh but it did.
Good for you

Happaned to us years ago, we got friends to better their offer and then pull out down the line, leaving the sellers in a mess. Now that's Karma! Obviously it was beofre these days where lots of questions are asked of those making offers, I think it would be expensive to do these days. I like your style.

May their marmite forever be tainted by the butter knife.

This happened to us years ago and because at the time we were buying in the local area, we had to go past the house everyday on our way to work. I cursed that house every single time. And then one day we went past and the porch had collapsed. That felt like karma. And, like others, we found a much nicer house in a much nicer area and have lived here ever since without the porch collapsing 😁It may not feel it now but everything happens for a reason and something better is around the corner, I’m sure.

That's some top notch cursing right there, I'm slightly in awe of how effective you were in getting some karmic justice. Shock

"May their next shite be a hedgehog

This too! An especially jaggy one..."

... coming backwards.

"hope continuously catch their clothes on door handles"

This is fiendishly clever and probably something there is a Hogwarts spell for.

I hope the house next door comes up for sale... and is bought by the neighbours from hell.

If the house next door goes up for sale I promise you all personally that we will buy it and be the neighbours from hell.
