Put the hog food out about 30 minutes ago and just now the cat was sat about 6 inches away from the food plate giving the giant hog the evils whilst s/he tucked in. Cat quite likes the kitten kibble.

Bumping as it’s so hot

Bumping as there will be lots of thirsty hedgehogs in this heatwave!

we have several bird baths and saucers out - full of birds and insects in the day. Cats, foxes, mice and hedgehogs at night. Very jolly. (And kitten biscuits under a pallet only accessible by the hedgehogs).

My hedgehog visitors have shown up early to enjoy a drink of fresh water!

Small hedgehog has already been, now giant hedgehog has arrived.

Last night a hedgehog came out at about 10.30

Evening bump

I’m being admitted to hospital today for about 4/5 days. Would some of the lovely posters on this thread please give it a bump twice a day while I’m out please? It could save hedgehog and hoglet lives during this heatwave.

Apparently when it’s very hot, hedgehogs will also come out during the day looking for a drink so it’s advisable to make sure there are a few dishes of water scattered about under shady hedges.

Well that didn't work, so I'll try again...

What a lovely thread. I’ve had hedgehogs in the garden for the last month and have been leaving out fresh water and food. I live on a quiet estate and they can get between the gardens. I’ve heard the grunting, makes me giggle. They are about anytime after 10pm here.

I’m registered now on Hedgehog Street and will add to the map!
