The only people I've seen that gloat when others have caught covid are the ones who would have been painting red xs on the doors of people who had it, wanted lockdown to go on forever, and likened it to the plague. Fortunately, Clapton isnt renowned for his educated and considered views on anything apart from his guitar so who cares what he thinks about anything else? If anyone's taking medical advice from him they should definitely get a second opinion.

My dad knew him a bit as a youth (they knocked around at the same places and had friends in common) and he says he was always a total knob. Said he was arrogant before he got famous and once he started to make it became truly intolerable. Always nicking other peoples girlfriends too apparently. Oh and he once brought his guitar to someone’s engagement party and sat in the corner playing maudlin Bob Dylan songs because his latest girlfriend had just dumped him and he was sad.
