...because a certain well-known covid denying nuscician now has covid?
Don't with him a bad case, just want to ask him how he is going to try and style this one out, because he is looking fairly stupid now!

Ugzbugz · 18/05/2022 07:57

I've just read he's vaccinated to! And is worried about passing to his band etc.

Sounds like everything has been totally over dramatised.

AlternativePerspective · 18/05/2022 08:15

I don’t know much about him. I can’t imagine that he would even notice if he had COVID because whatever other substances he’s taking probably dull the impact of the symptoms.

However I read recently of someone who was one of these conspiracy types who had been filming empty hospital corridors, posting his propaganda all over social media claiming COVID was a hoax etc, who caught COVID and died. I can’t say I shed any tears for him.

The average “COVID is just a col” type I could care less whether they caught covid or not.

User7493268965 · 18/05/2022 08:29

How can you be a covid denier if you have the vaccine, surely you wouldn't have it as there would be nothing to vaccinate against.

Luculentus · 18/05/2022 08:32

If he hasn't been vaccinated it's liable to be worse than a cold. Even with the vaccination, most people I know who have had Omicron have felt pretty lousy.

Ponoka7 · 18/05/2022 08:37

He had to have the vaccine to tour etc. So now he's going to say that his scepticism about the vaccine was true. It's astounding how many people who take class A's are so anti vaccine. He has a long history of not caring what he put in his body, or whose body he put himself into, it's laughable.

User7493268965 · 18/05/2022 08:40

So probably similar to people that had the vaccine to go on holiday.

Saucery · 18/05/2022 08:43

Unfortunately, the people I work with who have scoffed at Covid from day 1 and refused to be vaccinated didn’t moderate their uninformed twattiness when they got it. Even the one who was hospitalised.

EdgeOfSeventeenAndThreeQuarter · 18/05/2022 08:44

🤷‍♀️ I’m ready to “forgive” anyone for just about anything when they’ve lost a child in such a horrific manner. How anyone can keep putting one foot in front of another is beyond me.

Gloating when someone is ill? How bizarre.

Fuuuuuckit · 18/05/2022 08:47

The only covid denier/conspiracist I knew died within 5 weeks of contracting covid.

YABVVVU to be glad that someone (of advancing age especially) has caught covid, if he is unvaccinated then it is likely to be much more of a cold, and potentially very harmful indeed.

doublemonkey · 18/05/2022 08:49

He's vaccinated, and has had side effects from the vaccine which interfere with him playing the guitar.

He, quite rightly, is annoyed that people were told the vaccines were safe.

Nothing to gloat about.

SmellsLikeMiddleAgeSpirit · 18/05/2022 08:59

He's not a rabid anti-vaxxer, he was double vaxed and had a terrible reaction to his first jab.

The man's a twat, yes, but it's pretty horrible to be gleeful about someone being ill. And with the latest strains it probably will be similar to a cold in any case.

Anniegetyourgun · 18/05/2022 09:08

People weren't told the vaccines didn't have side effects though. They undeniably do. It's not one of those things "They Don't Want You To Know"!

WeDontShutUpAboutBruno · 18/05/2022 09:09

He's looking fairly stupid now?

He's not the one gloating on a parenting site about someone he doesn't know contracting a potentially fatal virus.

Bit of a cunty move tbh.

Mangogogogo · 18/05/2022 09:11

‘eric Clapton’ is not a swear word, you can say his name!

meatloaf did the exact same thing but he died

SamphirethePogoingStickerist · 18/05/2022 09:20

Oh behave. Mr Boring Slow Hand Clapton has peripheral neuropathy that has had him in a bloody wheelchair, FFS!

He is anti lockdown not anti virus and his issues with the vaccine were 'normal' for some and well documented but made worse by the PN. He probably should have been advised against it but hey, he's a rich bloke and in his 70s.

And Meatloaf was ani mandatory vaccines. Not surprising for an American!

If you want to gloat get your facts straight! Cos now that isn't a gloat over your face, it's egg!

ClaudiusTheGod · 18/05/2022 09:50

its a miracle Clapton is still alive after the amount of crap he’s put into his body over the years. Covid vaccine must be as nothing compared to some of the stuff he’s ingested.

ComtesseDeSpair · 18/05/2022 10:04

I don’t think he denied that a virus called Covid exists, did he? Just that it wasn’t dangerous for the majority and the response to it - particularly after the first few weeks of the first lockdown - was disproportionate and would cause harm: a view that I think many people now agree with and an increasing number will also come to accept.

newnamethanks · 18/05/2022 10:06

Fair point Claudius. I'm always bewildered by the 'Organic, My body is a temple, I'm a very spiritual person, Where's my yoga mat, Crystals' people who, at the weekend, will hoover up amounts of white powder and neck assorted tablets of dubious origin without querying the origin or even establishing what it actually is that they're ingesting. Odd.

IncompleteSenten · 18/05/2022 10:09

Eric Clapton is a tin foil hatter? Crikey.

Choufleurfromage · 18/05/2022 10:13

Georges Kiitchen Yes he was!

I’m sure he’ll be along in a minute to say it was just like a cold.

Along with the 99.9% of people who have caught it...

Exaclty this, why does questioning the efficiency of a global lock down for a primarily non lethal virus make one tin foil hat wearer. Ironically, the more that is coming out, the more the 'lunatics' are appearing the sane ones.

BigSkies2022 · 18/05/2022 11:08

no one cares about adults dying.

...umm...entire economy locked down repeatedly? children missing out on school; young adults missing out on university and employment opportunities; everyone's business and social lives put absolutely on hold. Seems to me rather a lot of care was taken to try and prevent adults dying. Which is not to say that mistakes weren't made, or that people wouldn't have been even more terrified if a respiratory virus was killing children.

Exactly @BigSkies2022 literally banning people from seeing friends and family, making people choose which children/grandchildren could be in their bloody 'bubble'.

orzoisorange · 18/05/2022 15:17

He's not a Covid denier. Utterly inaccurate OP.

He's a vaccine skeptic. You realise that's not the same thing, right?

I'm a vaccine skeptic, but I don't deny Covid exists. Had it a couple of months ago.
