DH is away with friends
The friends wives have posted on SM that some of them are out
I was supposed to be out tonight but friends cancelled last minute
A few friends are away on holiday (not together)
I'm now at home with DC who just want to game all night
I've got itchy feet to go out but no one to go out with and I've got DC as I cancelled childcare for tonight
I feel so alone

Nope, I'm at home. Just poured myself a glass of wine to sit in the garden and relax. Had momentary thought u should phone my friend and invite her over but decided I just want to be at home, alone (well with DC but they are not outside in the garden with me so ... peace!). Enjoy your quiet evening, there is plenty of summer to come!

It's not just you. My DH has been sat in a sunny beer garden since 2pm. I've been at home doing the boring stuff (walking the dog, washing on the line etc) by myself. Normally I don't mind but it's felt a bit rubbish today. Plus I agreed ages ago to babysit for my sister tonight so today is a complete write off here!

Nope. I’m in the midst of marking Year 11 exam practice responses ahead of next week’s GCSE exams. Woo hoo.

DH is off playing cricket, DD is 2.5 and has had a mental busy day with no nap so we are currently in the living room watching the Lion King and counting down the minutes til 6.30 when we can reasonably start bedtime.

So no, no sunny evening joy for me, tho I may get a glass of wine when the toddler is asleep.

Not just you! DH is away this weekend on a stag do and I’ve just walked back from the cinema with the DC hearing everyone enjoying the sun and felt quite Norma No Mates.

I'm in too, as always, husband drinking bear for the FA Cup, Dc complaining about how his art has gone wrong (even though it's fab) and I'm dying to read in peace but it's not happening.

Try not to be too upset, I imagine if you want to go out it must be very frustrating but I'd kill for the peace and quiet (once the kids are in bed or if they're gaming anyway) do something you enjoy, watch guilty pleasure tv, enter some competitions online (old hobby of mine!) etc x

Nope, I'm at home battling post Covid weariness and mum guilt because I haven't taken ds to a BBQ or a country hike (he's sitting in his darkened bedroom with his devices and couldn't care less!)

I have chronic illness and have learned to watch everyone going out and doing things after the lockdowns ended and I felt still locked down. Whoever said comparison is the theif of joy was spot on.

If kids are happy gaming then pour yourself a nice drink and either stick Eurovision on or sit in the garden with a nice book 🙂

I'm not. The dog woke me up at 5am and I'm too tired to do anything much, lol.

I've been gardening and it was HOT out there so i'm indoors now. Enough sun for me. DD4 (8) has had enough of messing about out there too and has come in.

Now DD1 .... i am jealous! She landed in Tenerife last night and has spent today by the pool 😎

I'm about to take dd2 to the park to try (again) to teach her to ride a bike. I am more than happy to babysit your dc if you would like to swap, I am not anticipating anything about this to be fun!

DH is overseas and will be for the next 3 months (until we join him).

I'm at home and both DSes have a friend over for the night.

So I'm providing food then will be going off to sit in my bedroom as they'll take over the lounge. Until I need to set up the beds for the guests.

If I'm lucky they won't be using netflix so I can watch it on my phone...yay me

We're at home too OP. Plans scuppered by toddler with a random high temp. I'd planned on treating us to kfc to make up for cancelling our plans but the delivery time is so long I can't be bothered with it. I'm doing random freezer crap for tea instead. At least we can eat it in the garden so there's that I guess.

Had a lovely weekend planned but toddler DD came down with a high temp last night and is still grotty today. So, will be on the sofa for the foreseeable.

I'm watching the Selling Sunset season 5 Reunion In my pants. Highly recommend.

We were going to a gig tonight but have been landed with dog-sitting at short notice. The dog is super cute but I'm still fed up of yet another Saturday night at home. 😔

I'm loaded with the cold but forced myself to cut the grass. Am now sitting outside by myself with my glass of diet coke and a box of hankies

No! I'm happily indoors with the dogs, waiting for it to cool down and praying for Autumn.

I'm in ! My dd9 is autistic and hates going out. No garden to relax in either 😢
