Did your kids start sleeping through? We are only three weeks in but im already dreaming of the day when dd will stop feeding every few hours, then spend the same time again fussing before going back to sleep! She is formula fed so hoping as she gets bigger she will have bigger feeds and sleep for longer periods. How old were yours when they started doing this?

Also what age were they when you introduced a bedtime routine? We are still very much in the newborn haze but I'm craving some routine and structure already.

6 years old for DD1!

DD2 slept through for a few weeks at about 6 months and I thought I’d cracked it, alas it didn’t last. She’s now 5 and reliably sorting through most nights, but not all!

Sleeping not sorting

Mine was about 7 weeks. He was formula fed. Still sleeps through now unless teething badly or ill.
I didn't try and make it happen, it just did naturally. I quite enjoyed the cosiness of getting up in the night to do feeds/nappies but we were in lockdown and my husband was working at home so we were able to share a lot and I could sleep in the day when needed so my enjoyment probably isn't reflective of lots of other experiences!

Between 2 to 2.5 years old.

It did get much better from about 18 months when was no longer waking every few hours and would just wake about twice a night.

My youngest has only reliably started sleeping through and he's 3 😫

Formula fed and went through from midnight to 6am from six weeks. He was a champion sleeper from the beginning - and still is. We had a bedtime routine right from the beginning - bath, bottle then bed from the day we went home. Routine was pushed hard in those days.

My dd is 20 months old and doesn't sleep through yet most nights. I'm also pregnant again so I know that the sleep deprivation will be going nowhere.
