If I was Peter Andre I would be suing Coleen Rooney lawyers for dragging him into the WAG shitshow !! I think it is disgusting that they have stooped so low to publicly humiliate him !!
He is a kind ,professional guy who doesn’t deserve this .

He seems a nice enough chap who isn't awfully bright. A wiser man would have seen the dreadful KP for what she is.

His current wife seems lovely and a wonderful stepmother to his kids with KP. God knows they need some stability.

I think he will be so pleased. No publicity is bad publicity. He is fame hungry and desperate to keep his mush in the public eye.

I also think it's creepy he is nearly 20 years older than his wife and as much as she 'shuns' the limelight, she has a column in a trashy mag and is also happy been seen at photographed events.

This case isn't about Peter Andre. In fact the rush to try to 'make it about him' smacks of a publicity or redirection stunt.
As for the 'it would be awful if it happened to a woman' - yy it would be and it happens every single day. In fact, the Daily Mail which is running an article quoting Pete talking about the case - has an entire sidebar devoted to commenting on women's shapes, sizes, etc. A woman can't walk down the street without 'flaunting her pins'
So spare me the fake outrage that a man who has encouraged some vile press against his ex wife which often focuses on the size of her boobs has been mentioned for five minutes in a court case which touched on much more important issues. I wonder if some of the other celebrities mentioned are paying their PRs to divert attention away from their scandals.

You cannot sue someone for something they said in the confines for a courtroom, even if it isn’t true. Statements made in court have absolute privilege which is a complete defence for defamation.

If Andre were to sue Vardy for her original comments made outside the courtroom, the the onus would be on her to prove them, not on him to disprove them.

It is absolutely relevant to the case.

Rooney made a statement that stories had been sold to the press and the only 'account' that had access to those stories was Vardy's.
Vardy is bringing a case against Rooney for libel on the basis that someone reading that would interpret that statement as being that Vardy was the one that sold the stories.
A defence that can be made made against an accusation of libel is that, on the balance of probabilities (note, not beyond reasonable doubt) the statement made by Rooney was true.
Vardy is (now) claiming that is was the PR woman who sold the stories and that she wasn't involved.
Any demonstrable incidence where Vardy has sold stories to the press in the past is therefore absolutely relevant to Rooney's team showing that 'on the balance of probabilities' the statement made by Rooney was true. It's not about what Vardy may have said, its about establishing a pattern of behaviour in relation to her selling stories to the sun.

It is awful for poor Peter Andre. He seems to have dealt with it exceptionally well. It's really a shame that this sort of kiss and tell bollocks was ever deemed newsworthy.

He can't sue Rooney's lawyers. This is about a comment Vardy made in a kiss and tell interview many years ago. The comment may have been forgotten but it was already out there. It is absolutely legitimate for Rooney's lawyers to use this to show Vardy's behaviour. And, of course, no-one can be sued for defamation based on things said in court because anything you say is protected by privilege.

The grown up me agrees, it is not okay for his penis size to be dragged into this. However the real me thinks he is a fame hungry leech who has given up his privacy for money and recognition for a good few decades now so cannot have it all ways. The nice guy stuff is based on what (although he does love his kids)? I did not watch his reality shows but remember a lot of reports about bullying and gas lighting behaviour. He has been very quick to get into the press talking about feeling vulnerable rather than doing the sensible thing and just ignoring it. He loves publicity- he is only really famous because of his ex-wife, not because of his one hit back in the 90s. Whilst she is a train wreck, she is obviously very vulnerable and seems quite honest.

I admit I do not know PA personally but in all the (extensive) media coverage that he himself has driven, nothing has suggested to me he is 'a nice guy'. Certainly not an axe murderer but a self obsessed, self important narcissist maybe.

You're angry at the wrong people. CR's lawyers are referring to a newspaper story that is part of the public record. It's the same as if they're referring to any published news article, novel or tweet.

If you want to be angry at someone, be angry at Rebecca Vardy for giving the interview in the first place.
